// When the moon fell in love with the sun, all was golden in the sky

You know, I really like Panic at the Disco's new sound. ♥ More specifically, I can't take "When the Day Met the Night" off repeat. kdsjkjadfa buuuut that song also puts me in one hell of a writing mood so here you are GOING TO PASS OUT NOW. Don't expect a lot out of this. I liked writing it, but that's about all that can be said for it. |D

By the way, this is for aefallen and tsudera. I'll get to your actual prompts later, loves, but I swear it's the two of you who have so well revived my love for 5927. Love to both~ ♥

But seriously, guys, you should be listening to that song when you read this. Total inspiration.

It's a beautiful day.

Not that it isn't always, but....

"Gokudera-kun." Tsuna smiles.

Every day is perfect, here. As long as the Tenth exists. That's all the beauty Gokudera will ever need. Especially when-

"Hey, Gokudera-kun. Are you all right?"

He snaps out of his thoughts, smiles brightly back. "Of course, Tenth! I'm sorry, I was thinking."

"That's all right." Tsuna looks away, staring off into the space past the window of the small ice cream parlor. The smile is still on his face, though, ever-so-faint but it doesn't seem to know how to leave, not on days like today.

It's strange, this thing they have. It's fragile, nascent, sometimes Gokudera doesn't even know if it's there because they're both so very uncertain. But it is there, isn't it, even if it can't be quite described in words just yet, and that's the best thing in the world, to Gokudera.

"Your ice cream will melt, Tenth," he murmurs helpfully, taking a small mouthful of his own. They do pretty good stuff here, that's what he heard the girls saying earlier this week, and it's good to see the shop lives up to its reputation, because Tenth deserves the best. Gokudera doesn't like sweet things mostly, but ice cream isn't bad. Especially not like this.

Tsuna still doesn't touch his, though, and Gokudera frowns a little, berates himself. "Tenth?"

"Mm-? Ah, I'm sorry, Gokudera-kun! Looks like I'm the one who spaced out this time." He laughs nervously, starts eating quickly.

Gokudera frowns a little more, where Tsuna can't see. By all rights, no right hand man should enjoy this level of intimacy with his Boss, and yet-

And yet.

He hardly remembers the first time he asked the Tenth if perhaps he would like to go out to enjoy the day, though he's sure there's a well-detailed play-by-play (in G-script, of course) in one of his journals. That's the sort of person he is. He had only thought of the Tenth's comfort at the time - too much stress makes not a good Boss, after all - but Tsuna had agreed. And agreed again. And again.

And soon enough it had become a regular thing, not just an every-so-often forget-your-problems sort of thing, and had edged, dangerously even, into rather different territory. Or maybe it had, maybe it hadn't. Gokudera isn't sure, not really, but he....doesn't mind that so much, does he?

(Except when he does, but never mind that; his feelings are of no importance anyway.)

"Gokudera-kun? Are you going to finish yours?"

"Ah-" A smile, his attention back where it should be. "I think I've had enough. Did you enjoy yours, Tenth?"

"Mm. It was good. Thanks."

Gokudera stands, throws their trash away, and then they head out. Where to, he doesn't know, never does until their feet have taken them there. This is the part he likes best, walking aimlessly with no direction in mind, nothing to do but enjoy the day in whatever fashion they please.

It seems to be one of those more quiet, contemplative walks today, and so Gokudera is free to lose himself in thought again. He still isn't sure what this is, no, not that he has to; for this thing seems to suit them nonetheless. It flickers and wavers, and some days Gokudera thinks it is no more than it should be, and others he doesn't think that, and never is he really sure but there's something of a thrill in unknowing.

Still, he wishes sometimes, maybe a little, not even for a name for this, but at least a definition. Even a small one will do.

(But no matter, no matter, for he is but the right hand, and exists only to serve the Tenth's will, and is happy for even that.)

"You're quiet today," Tsuna observes after a while, softly.

"Ah! I'm sorry, Te-"

"It's all right, Gokudera-kun," and Tsuna smiles so-bright. "You don't have to. I just like being here."

"....Anything for the Tenth." No more than a reverent murmur. The highest praise, that the Tenth would so enjoy his lowly company.

"Anything," Tsuna repeats, quiet.

"Tenth?"

"Please-" Another soft smile, pleading. "Then please just...stay quiet for a while longer, and let's stay like this?"

Gokudera opens his mouth to respond, closes it. Nods. Whatever you may wish.

After a little while Tsuna slips his hand into Gokudera's. He's tense at first, but Gokudera doesn't say anything and doesn't pull away, and so soon he relaxes.

The two of them (Pair? Couple? No, yes, everything and nothing but Gokudera-and-Tsuna) walk on into one perfect day of many.
