Summary: Yuffie meets Rod.
It hadn't been okay, since Weiss had abducted her. She wasn't going to withdraw into a shell, or stop acting the way she always had, but it was there, in the back of her mind. He's really back. She hadn't wanted to believe it, when she'd heard the message before. But having him there was a little harder to pretend that.
They'd fought him - before. And the darkness then, it had been like everything sad in the world was adding up and she couldn't feel any of it otherwise. But it hadn't been her. It had been Vincent. Was she really so small on her own?
She couldn't afford to have these ideas in her head. That wasn't her style. Hey. I'm Here. Get the hell out of the way because something bigger than you is coming through.
A princess, and a ninja, and she'd made off fine. Except these doubts. Doubts that had been building up in her mind, and damnit, she didn't need them or have room.
So she'd gone for a walk around Edge. She didn't have a destination, just wanted to walk. And it had brought her to the refugee camps.
Weiss...he had killed so many people right there, in front of her. People just like these people, who were walking around without a home. And because of the Planetquake there were so many of them now. And just as many in Wutai. She'd been there, while she was home, but she hadn't stayed, she didn't like the way she felt when she looked at all of them, all alone and without a real place to go.
Like everyone after the war.
No, no, not time to think about that now. She'd just...talk to someone. That would make it all go away, because talking came so easily to her.
