it's the gastronomy, stupid!
Just seen the headline 'Struggling B+B to be nationalised'. I had a really gloomy minute of 'ye gods, the economy really is buggered, isn't it?' before realising that the headline referred to the Bradford and Bingley bank, rather than to some little guest-house down the road...I'm all about nationalising utilities and transport, but imagine if they did nationalise bed-and-breakfasts! I have only dim and distant memories of British Rail sandwiches, but I'm sure it would be the death of the great British fry-up....
