Movies: Hot Fuzz

I rented Hot Fuzz this weekend. It's a comedy/cop action movie about an overachieving city cop sent to be a sergeant at a small village, because he's too good at his job. Needless to say, the village is full of eccentric characters, and isn't quite what it seems. If you've heard of the movie, then you've probably heard that it parodies and gives many an homage to the action movie genre. The humor in it is distinctly British, and there were scenes that had gruesome, pitch black humor in it.

I thought it was funny, and a pleasant way to spend the time.
