- I'm not sure what to make of Sarah's dreams. It is interesting that Cameron is dressed identically as Sarah, and Cameron is shown watering a sprouting machine, and handing over a tortoise to Cromartie. So Sarah not so subconsciously thinks Cameron will side with the machines.
- One thing that surprised me was John doubting that Cameron could feel and have emotions. I always got the impression that John thinks of Cameron as a person, capable of learning, and feeling.
- I did like Cameron and John's conversation in the car outside of Ellison's home. Terminators have one over humans in how they're not built to be cruel, and not many people would turn over the tortoise. This is followed up with Cameron beating Ellison up for information, and then turning him over onto his stomach just like Sarah did with the tortoise. I suppose Cameron defines cruelty as pointless harm, and not as the inflicting of violence.
Meanwhile, Sarah and John explicitly value life. I think they're violent only if they have to.
- Derek and Jessie finally got a storyline that interested me. I liked the twist at the end of how it was Derek who Fisher tortured, only Derek blocked it out. Before, he was detached, and playing the Good Cop to Jessie's Bad Cop.
It's also interesting that Jessie's violence towards Fisher is earlier portrayed as brutal, and on flimsy evidence. Derek and the audience do not know Fisher; the guy might be innocent.
I also found out that flying body parts disturbs me less than a guy strapped to a chair and having violence inflicted on him.
- Fisher's another time paradox. Old!Fisher breaks into the company's systems, young!Fisher gets life imprisonment for something he hasn't done yet, and young!Fisher will definitely remember being kidnapped by Jessie and Derek wielding the pliers. I bet Fisher will take a *special* interest in Derek when Derek's captured.
So this Derek might not remember Fisher, because this is the timeline that leads to him getting tortured. Maybe. Time travel is a big causality headache.
- I wonder how future!John will deal with the human traitors siding with Skynet. John seems to value human life, sometimes machine life, so how will he deal with torture and interrogation? Are Derek and Jessie examples of resistance members' policies, or were the circumstances special? Also, Derek seemed mighty familiar with the pliers.
