You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

FIRST NAME: Sian! IT'S NOT JUST A NET HANDLE. I think this shows a certain lack of imagination on my part, so from now on I may have you all refer to me as "Sparkles".
AGE: 22. We don't talk about it. i'm so oooooold now
LOCATION: Hull, United Kingdom. I split my time between Hull and a small town in the Midlands of England where I grew up.
OCCUPATION: Full-time student! Studying English and Creative Writing at Hull University. It's my third year, so I probably should start on some kind of jobsearch. Either that or I'm going to go bum around the planet for a while. Mmmm, directionless existence.
PARTNER: lol no.
KIDS: WELL I ATE A BABY ONCE ... I kid, I kid. Someday perhaps. In like. Six years or something. But I am never squeezing one out of my uterus. I shall not contribute to the population explosion.
BROTHERS/SISTERS: One elder brother, who is twenty-four and just qualified as an NHS pharmacist. An insufferably smug although comedic creature. I communicate with him maybe once a month.
PETS: Two dogs! One's a Border Collie called Max, the other's an Australian Shepherd called Holly. They're not really mine, since they live with my parents, but I was living there when we got them, so they count as mine. There's also a fish my brother disowned and a cat who disowned us and went to live across the street. Eh.
3-5 THINGS GOING ON IN MY LIFE:
1. It is yet another heinous essay week. Except this one is longer and I have no essay plan! Well shit. I should probably get off my ass and go to the library.
2. I have all the hallmark features of joints that will someday have rheumatoid arthritis. On the negative side, that means I am weak to carpal tunnel syndrome, which I currently am still fighting the good fight against, and to things like sinovitis, which made my life hell last month. On the positive side, hypermobile joints make me super bendy. :B
3. I AM ON A CREATIVE WRITING DEGREE AND HAVEN'T COMPLETED ANYTHING FOR THE LAST FIVE MONTHS fuck
4. I would totally bang Sherlock Holmes if he were real.
5. PARTY THIS WEEKEND :3
PARENTS: I have this awesomely casual relationship with my parents. I've gotten to the point in my life where I'm just chill with them and can talk things out with them without either party getting disgruntled or uncomfortable, which is nice. They're both very like me in different ways, which used to mean we butted heads but now mostly means we get on well. My dad and I are both quite ... uhm. Opportunistic, is probably the term, so life when we're both in the house is kind of interesting. But yeah, it's all very casual. My housemates look at me sometimes and go "jesus christ I would never say that to my mother/father" and I'm just like "... eh!"
CLOSE FRIENDS: IRL my closest friends are my housemates: Eliott, who is fond of television and inappropriate humour and thinks that if Dean Winchester were a woman he should have been played by P!nk; Nathan, who is fond of touching small children (NOT STRICTLY FACTUAL); Kyle, who has a bizarre obsession with Delta Goodrem, and Charlotte, who sometimes reads this journal so I'm not going to say anything borderline rude about her. There is also our friend Bex, who has been somewhat scarce this year and is moving to Cambridge soon :( AND ASSORTED OTHER FRIENDS that I am much more lax in communicating with because I don't live with them or hang out with them a lot.
On the net I have AJ and Timmy and Rose and Pie and ahhhhhh all of you because if I were to name names it would take too long and I really do have to write an essay today. ILU ALL ♥
