Probably not exactly--I figure at this rate I'll be done with the story itself sometime first week of December. I have to go back through it after it is done, though I pretty much tweak and shape up as I go. This one is in really decent shape at the end of things which makes me happy happy.

Yes, family crap, blah. MIL just called and told me things about Mary that I never knew, and am pretty pissed that Kel never told me. Such as, she had nearly succeeded in committing suicide, he was the one who found her, she was in the psych hospital for three months--he visited her every day, WTH? WTH WTH WTH? I am pretty damn angry he didn't tell me. Communication was our big problem in my marriage and that just is another rock on that pile. Damn.

ANYWAY. I am off to a fun day of writing, sans internet, at my friend Cid's house. Ha. Many words will be formed!

sorry about the family shit. i can't wait to be home and talk to you about family shit! tomorrow at this time i am home. trust me when i say you are a good person for being there for your mil. and she appreciates it!

did you see my email where i said i would definitely be coming to dallas next year? very close to you know who!

yay for nano. i have had monstro fail and haven't written a word since the train. now i go to bed. but at least i will not be dead tired tomorrow and will be able to write on the train this time.

Yuck about the family stuff. It sounds utterly awful. I know that your MIL means a lot to you, and therefore that you won't turn your back. And she probably won't turn her back on her children. So all you can do is be supportive without getting too closely involved. *hugs*

Just wanted to agree with what you said. Trying to be supportive without getting dragged in is the only sensible course of action, but it's not always easy to see it objectively when family are involved.

You're so close to finishing NaNo! That's awesome. Boo on family stuff. Sounds stressful and difficult. Poor MIL and everyone, really. Dealing with mental illness is so hard. Agree with your advice to her about going back to the earlier commitment papers.
