good stuff
I got to play some hockey. I would really like to join up on a men's seasonal league again, but it would have to be the right league. The last one I was in was a Sunday night league with a bunch of 35+ losers that were way overly competitive for what it was. I just want to play for fun.
I also took Pete and (who I am convinced is) his soulmate to CR's new place (which seems really big). A few notes from that experience:
1. I really miss having Pete around here full time because I think I probably miss out on 90% of the really great social awkwardness stories that he tells - I was still laughing at the story about him and his cousin during st. patty's weekend the next day.
2. "Spencer really loves people and the new kitty is afraid of people." CR, you're no Cat whisperer. Also, it was funny when Pete picked up your cat and pretended it was a gun.
3. Pete's GF story about using Laxatives on the cruise only hammered home my idea that this is Pete's soulmate, that she is a bit crazy, and that they were made for each other and most likely "complete" each other. I seriously can't see either one of them breaking up with the other one and they seem really happy together, and I can actually stand to be with them together which says a lot...with some of Joey's GFs the evening couldn't end fast enough.
4. I'll give CR a 10 on the taste of her cupcakes, but a 2 for design presentation. It really did look like Pete was eating poop, which is making me laugh as I write this and picture it again.
Finally, social networking websites are something else. I have been flattered by how many (in most cases mutual) crushes from h.s and college have found me on FB. I'm surprised that they even still think about me after all this time. It's also really interesting to see where they are living, especially the ones that were in my college art departments. One just contacted me and she's living in an old school house, and another one, kind of constantly moves around between Duluth and here. It makes me wonder where both them and I would be had I ended up dating any of them? You have to assume that one would of influenced the other's life in some direction. I think I'm actually really happy the way things have worked out so far, so I probably wouldn't change anything.
