fashion...college-style

After years and years of throwing random clothes into my closet and dresser, I finally decided to go through it and donate things I didn't wear anymore. It turned out to be like an episode of "What Not to Wear", where EVERYTHING was donated. It was rather amusing.

It's not that things were too small - quite the opposite in fact. In college, I wore really baggy pants and for whatever reason, I thought that really baggy tops would compliment that. I tried on a pair of my old REALLY baggy jeans with a double XL (that is what I wore back then) shirt and then a double XL hoodie, and then looked in the mirror. After I stopped laughing I called Joey and demanded to know why no one ever told me that I maybe was not making the greatest clothing choices. Granted that I was not only in college, but an art student, which means anything goes, but double XL shirts?? Really?? B asked me if I had body issues back then and I didn't, but I'm guessing I thought that if my pants were baggy, then my tops should be as well. The good news is, there will be a few overweight people that are going to get some really nice hoodies and t-shirts.

My other big task was recycling my old PC computer from college. What a time capsule that was! I haven't even turned the thing on in about 3 years, but I wanted to get all my old college papers and digital art projects off the hard drive and save them, so I bought a small 320 gig external hard drive, which is more than enough for my two internal drives equaling 90 gigs. I found a lot of funny things on there from IM conversations with my college friends, to a video of my college gf showing her dorm room on a web cam, to my first ever attempts at flash and my first built website (soooooooo bad). I also found plenty of photos of all my friends, and after seeing them, and seeing how they all dressed, I didn't feel that my look at the time was so out of place. Ha!
