Fahrenheit 9/11 was lame. I was expecting Michael Moore to dig deep and pull up some really juicy shit on Bush. His big conspiracy theory was our relationship with the Saudis. Wow. Big surprise.

The majority of the movie was simply documenting a few people's dissenting view on the war and about soldiers getting killed in action. Some poor mother had a camera shoved in her face and was asked to read a letter that her son wrote before he was killed in Iraq. Yes, that's enough to move just about anyone, very powerful stuff. Way to exploit people, Mike, for your own agenda and profit. And it didn't stop there, he also showed Iraqi babies being blown up.

I'm not an overly political person. I sometimes characterize myself as apolitical.. because really, who has time to give a fuck. I don't. I work hard and have more important things to worry about. American politics is mainly about power plays and making money. And sometimes they pass a bill that will help some poor people or provide extra benefits to the elderly. They do this often enough to keep the American public satisfied that our government actually gives a shit. They don't. They care about lining their pockets, acquiring power, making book deals and lookin good on TV. Michael Moore cares about making movies and getting fat.

Bottom line, the movie didn't bring to light anything we already didn't know. Bush-haters and democrats will LOVE this movie, though (hi nina). I just read a press release reporting the movie has made almost 30 million dollars this weekend. Impressive. Feel free to cut a check and give that money to the parents of the Iraqi babies that you exploited to stir emotion in the audience. Mike, if you buy a BMW or even a cheeseburger with that money, you should burn in hell.

Fuckin pathetic.
