In the news

I am still alive!

Things are going alright. Not stellar, but alright. I gotta take my car in to get the check engine light cleared. I'm pretty cranky because I quit smoking. (Rae and the Kitty are none too impressed.) I'm thinking about starting college again in the spring, but if I'm smart enough, I might be getting back to my roots and going for Aerospace Engineering this time. Frankly, avionics was the only job that held my interest for any significant amount of time.

Let's see, Rae's binge pet buying has yielded us a veritable petting zoo at this point. We have Alexander the Savannah Cat, Malfoy the albino corn snake, Frogger the frog along with a couple fish that have not been named, and Godzilla the Bearded Dragon. Thankfully the cat goes to work with Rae. That wears him out enough that he's pretty manageable and me and the coldblooded creatures get to relax some.

Let's see. I've been dabbling around with DC Universe Online. It has some really kind of cool moments. Just having such NPC's that I recognize makes the game for me. Will it hold my attention once Star Wars hits? I highly doubt it. But it's something to pass the time for now.

I've been nominally trying to watch the news to keep up to date, but I gotta say that I hate the news networks. I can stomach the BBC, but that's about it. Even NPR makes me kinda crazy.

That sort of made me wonder this morning though. We live in the digital age. I've heard a myriad of people complain about how you can't trust the news and all this, so it begs the question as to why there hasn't been a website or something giving real, 'unbiased' news? I mean, I know people that podcast and set up stuff for youtube and all that jazz.

I dunno. Maybe there's one out there and I just haven't run across it yet. If not, well, maybe I'll just have to develop a plan. Not that I'll implement it, but I like plans!
