Been awhile since I have posted anything. Last night, Dan, Eric and I went down to the Charleston area to check out haunted houses. We went to Ashmore Estate first. This is their third year doing a show there. It was better than last year, and that is saying a lot. We made it through the maze fairly quickly compared to some people, meaning we might have missed a section with actors, but that's ok, there was pleanty to survive :). I think it was worth the $13 admission at least. And it will frighten children...probably alot :)..I highly suggest checking it out.
We then went out to Halls of Madness near Paris. It was a whole 6 or so miles up the road from Ashmore, so it would be silly to not check it out. At first, it didn't look like much-just an old barn- but they had converted the whole thing into a haunted maze and then converted the area behind it into an outdoor maze. I think it was just as good, if not, better than Ashmore. There were fewer actors, but they knew their stuff and had some really creative stuff going on. The $10 to get in wasn't bad at all and the person who operated it greeted people and thanked us for driving al the way out there.
A return trip might be planned. It will depend on Dan and my schedules though. But if people get a chance- I would suggest these two houses at very least.
