Update.
My grandpa did get to go home WITH both of his legs still attached. They ran a balloon and that is sufficing for now...don't know how long it will last. So he's home which he's happy about but he's definitely slowed down for right now. The bad news...upon going back for a check up his blood is running with about the consistency of mud...so he'll have to go in to the doctor daily to get a shot in the stomach of a blood thinner. Expecting relapse at some point here.
