Writer's Block: Really, Truly

Mar 31, 2009 07:11

If I were to say, "Yes, I do" without specifying, I'd be lying. Probably. That whole "love at first sight" thing is something that only happens in stories and movies. I don't think it's possible to see someone's face and instantly fall head-over-heels for them, much less for that sort of relationship to work out in the long run. We like to call something like that infatuation, which is not love, just a romantically-based obsession.
That being said, I do believe in true love, of a sort. It's something that doesn't happen without working at it, or just by looking at their face. Your romantic-partner has to be, first-and-foremost, your best friend. After that, it follows the normal-ish conventions for romantic relationships.
I think.
Oh, and, yes, my userpic for this entry is showing my amazement at my opinion. Or the question. Or something.

love at first sight, love, writer's block, true love, relationships
