Back To School~
This explains why I don't keep a journal or anything: I forget to update it regularly.
I leave for school on Friday morning. Going to Ellensburg this year, and I switched my major over to Computer Sciences. Which means that, in about two and a half years, I'll have a B.S. in that. BSing about computers. Heh.
I also managed to get an apartment on campus, after some difficulty with finding a roommate [studios and one-bedrooms had a massive waitlist, and the rent for two- and three-bedrooms is expensive as hell for only one person] and with the people in the Housing department bothering to get back to me about anything. But, eh. I have an apartment, it's partly furnished [as in, the bedrooms have furniture and the kitchen has a range and a fridge], a roommate around my age [seriously, I'm a 19-year-old Junior, which qualifies me as a "young'n"], and it's got free utilities and internet. Rent's $405/month for each of us, which is pretty damned good. Especially since most of that rent is coming from the money I get from my financial aid package. Everything else is being paid for by me, pretty much. Which means that I'm going job hunting on Friday.
Anyway, I've got all sorts of fun moving-in-y things this weekend. My parents are helping, and they're driving up Friday night and leaving Sunday in the early afternoon, I think. So that'll be pretty nice. And then I start classes on Wednesday.
Now, if only textbooks weren't so expensive....
