Halloween, Cosplay, and Art.

Before we start, it should be noted that I had a great Halloween. I went trick-or-treating with my little brother and his best friend. I was Leaf [Green] from the Pokemon video games [aka the girl character in FireRed/LeafGreen], my brother was a box [literally, a cardboard wardrobe box], and his friend was... something. I never figured out exactly what he was, but ah well. I got a lot of candy, much of which is gone now, because I like sugar and I like sharing with people on my floor. But still, it was good.

Now, on to business.

I started contemplating costume ideas I want to try out before Sakuracon comes along this April. So far, this is my list [and status]:

• Bakura Ryou [YGO] (85%) - Need to paint/make a better model of the Millennium Ring and get a better wig.
• Leaf ["Green"] [Pokemon Games] (70%) - Need the hat, a Pokeball, bag (?), and to make alterations to clothing.
• Change of Heart (Card) [YGO] (0%) - A possibility, really. The hair is something I can do naturally, and I love the challenge of the wings. Plus, if I feel REALLY annoying, I can add in the Ryou wig and appease the fanbase. A strong possibility.
• Mika [Soul Eater] (0%) - A HUGE possibility. I love the idea of it, but the outfit itself seems like a big challenge, namely the scythe and boots. Seriously, look at those boots. Can YOU make those?
• Riza Hawkeye [FMA] (0%) - I have no doubt that this would be great to dress up as. But sewing the Military Uniform for the costume would be so very hard. =_=
• Rhyme Bito [TWEWY] (0%) - Something I've wanted to do for ages. I just need to figure out how to make that shirt first. But it's probably going to happen.
• Thief King Bakura [YGO] (0%) - Someday, I hope to use this idea and make it reality. I really, really do. I found a guide to open-shirt chest binding online recently, and it has made this costume more possible [never mind that I've never bound my chest before, EVER], if difficult.

In addition to this, I've started drawing again. I'm not a great artist, mind, but I discovered that my school has numerous scanners in the basement of the Library, and they are for anyone to use. So I've been drawing in interest, especially since I've been trying to learn how to colour and touch-up my pictures online. For now, I just have my recent stuff in the Scraps section of my deviantART gallery [ask for the username, I'm lazy].
But now I want to draw a few things, or finish them:

• Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann x Yu-Gi-Oh! - A bit of a crossover sketch. It's just the Bakurae dressed as Simon, Kamina, and Yoko. I have it about half finished... maybe.
• Bleeding Arrows - I don't know why, but I want to draw someone, like Touzoku, bleeding to death from arrow wounds, with someone like Ryou kneeling over them and crying. I don't know why. I just want to. A lot.
• Feudal Japan-era Bakurae - Having drawn Ryou in a very poor, fairly formal, girls' kimono, I have a sudden desire to draw each of the Bakurae in the same costume. And maybe, just for a stretch, Malik and Mariku, too.
• Individual Character shots - I dunno about this. It'd certainly be fun to do though.
• Band Portraits - I just want to draw the Bakurae and Mariks in band costumes. For fun.

Geez, I'm insane.
