Round 3: Prompt Submissions (Theme Round)

Jan 10, 2010 13:58

Welcome, everyone, to Round 3 at Chaos Theory! Thanks to those that participated in Round 2 -- we got some great drabbles, though participation was admittedly a bit more slim due to the holidays. Now that the holidays are over, here's hoping we'll see lots more prompts/drabbles in this round!

For our third round, I thought it would be fun if we went by a theme this time.

In Round 3, the theme will be 'song and dance' -- anything having to do with music or dancing can be submitted as prompts or drabbles. Song titles, dance styles, instruments, etc. can be submitted, even lyrics (though if you do use lyrics as a prompt submission, please keep them short -- under eight words would be ideal -- or you can always link us to the full lyrics!).

For example, the prompt of 'piano' can be used (as it is a musical instrument), as can the prompt 'flamenco' (a dance), 'Transatlanticism' (a song), or 'I need you so much closer' (a short excerpt of lyrics from the song). Artist names, music genres, and music or dance terminology can also be used -- the scope is pretty wide; basically anything that fits under the umbrella of 'music' or 'dance.'

Get the idea? :)

Prompt submissions will remain open for one week, until January 17th, at which point we will open the round for drabbles. Only prompt submissions will be accepted at this time.

Now, have at it!
