Aerith was, unfortunately, quite possibly the slowest runner of AVALANCHE and was the latest in arriving. Green eyes were wide while her lungs burned for air, having been running until she'd made it through the door. Of course, she'd also managed to get herself caught up with a few of those decaying fiends, and that had slowed her down enough to frustrate the flower girl -- but at least she was here now.

"Tifa!" The brunette was first and foremost in her mind and worries as Aerith joined the others, dropping Aurora Rod in the main room before entering Tifa's. Her eyes swept from Cloud to Yuffie to Tifa and there her focus stayed as she knelt beside the bedding. "I'm here, everything's going to be okay," she murmured to the pale woman, then looking up at Cloud again.

"What happened?"

She was quiet, abnormal for her. But Cloud and Aerith, they'd help, they had to help. What they needed to do, they needed to do something. "Can you heal her? Can she be healed?"

No one knew what these things were, or what they did. Someone had to do something. "She'll be okay, right? She'll..."

Tifa had lapsed into unconsciousness, limp on the pallet. She stirred when her friends trooped in, opening her eyes to give them a soft reassuring smile before closing them again. Breath escaped her lungs in a quiet sigh and she reached for Cloud's hand.

She could feel the poison in her veins, searing fire of unbearable pain, but she wouldn't show it; she'd be strong for her friends. Her family. Yet she couldn't help shivering as the evil flowed through her, a soft whimper exhaled on a trembling breath.

Aerith blanked for a moment, staring at Cloud before finally shaking her head to loosen herself from the shock. She wasn't really sure if she could help her, if Great Gospel could heal something like this, and she didn't have anything else that would do what she needed.

But without the Lifestream nearby, would her only ability even work?

Green eyes turned to Yuffie and she offered a reassuring smile. "Don't worry..." Or maybe that was meant for herself. Regardless, Aerith stood back up, taking a deep breath then clasping her hands together beneath her chin. Maybe if she begged with this planet, maybe, maybe, please - help us. Hands released over Tifa's form and for a brief moment everything went bright, the light slowly fading over the brunette as Aerith sank (Materia itself had taken a lot out of her, she knew the limit would do worse) to her knees, eyes closed so she couldn't tell if it had done its job or not.

Tifa gasped and jerked as Aerith's magic washed over her; the healing negated a few of the effects, leaving her able to open her eyes and focus on her friends around her. She wheezed and gasped, staring around wildly, but bit her lip to keep from screaming at the pain still rocketing through her blood.

This was bad.

Tifa felt so sick, her bones felt as if they wanted to pop out of her skin and vanish altogether. She pressed hands to her stomach to try and keep it from lurching around, blinking back fresh tears of pain. The little bit of healing had returned consciousness, and she gazed around, dismayed to see Aerith crumpled over as well.

( OOC i'm assuming there's still no definite posting order? D: if i'm wrong, feel free to kick me! )

Aerith groaned, lifting a hand to her forehead as she leaned into Cloud for support. "I'm fine," she reassured them quietly, steadying her breaths before she let her eyes open to check on Tifa. The Limit had taken its toll, but she had to grit her teeth and bear it - whether it had been able to heal her or not was the first and foremost thing on her mind.

"Did it help..?" Her voice came out tired and she slid her hand to rest over Tifa's, giving it a small squeeze. Obviously it hadn't been perfect, the woman still looked like she was in pain after all.
