realist_romance gives me...Lexana!
I started shipping Lexana pretty quickly. I started watching Smallville at the beginning of Season 4, and in the season premiere, Lana comes home from Paris and sees Lex first. The way she so effortlessly walks into his arms and feels safe with him, I just loved it. I was impressed immediately.
I love that Lex has someone to dote on with Lana Lang. He needs someone to shower with love and affection, someone who looks at him like the strong, powerful man that he is. Their ability to give each other exactly what the other needed, including someone to stand to, makes me so happy. I feel like Lex’s love for Lana is the one pure thing in his life, and that she saves him time and time again.
What makes me sad is the bad writing in the second half of Season 6. Lex would do a lot of things, but he would never fake a pregnancy or a miscarriage. Lana is sacred to him, so that storyline drives me crazy. Catering to the Clana fans, ughh.
I look for the repairing of their relationship in fan fics. I like realistic, in-character stories of their love, their anger, their fury, and their happily ever after.
I don’t think I’m overly comfortable with Lex or Lana ending up with any one else. Smallville is a show I definitely don’t multiship the characters. My ships are not flexible when it comes to Smallville, haha.
My happily ever after for Lexana would include them actually GETTING a happily ever after, and for it to be a little bit like in Lexmas where Clark and Lana are truly over each other, Clark is happy for them, and Lex and Lana’s love doesn’t break apart Clark and Lex’s friendship.
