SPOILERS!!!
What a beautifully produced film this was. I wasn't really surprised. Every HP film has been beautifully directed, edited, cut, and produced. There are ones that I've liked better than others, but there are none that they ever slacked off on.
As a rabid "Harmony" fan, obviously this film made a great impression on me. I am not one to ever be a supporter of Ron/Hermione or Ginny/Harry. If I were a goddess, I'd pick Luna for Ron. I think she is FAR better suited for him, but Harry, he's a ‘one ship wonder’ for me. It's Hermione for Harry and that's the only person I can see for him. Hermione, well, there are moments where I could ponder a little fling with Draco. But my OTS is Harmony.
That being said, I was blessed to be in the theater feeling so enchanted by a re-emergence of Prisoner of Azkaban with there being so much screen time dedicated to Dan and Emma alone. I feel that their ability to work together, to have their own unique chemistry that is sometimes interrupted unpleasantly by another person interfering in their personal space. I’ll explain, just follow me. *smiles*
When it's just them, it's peaceful, romantic, productive, and beautiful. I have a soulmate that I mesh with best when no other energies interrupt us. When we have a third (or 30 other, whichever) energies included, it can be great, but sometimes it's better when it's just the two of us, and I saw that with Harry and Hermione. Ron is a fantastic third energy, but I have to say that he also interrupted their perfect flow.
The dance scene to O'Children was the most gorgeous scene in the film for me. And there were a lot, but I think most people's favorite Harmony scene would be that one. It represented so many things between them. A maintained youth, an innocence, a desire, a hesitation, a heroic-ness, pain, hope, and so much more. That was brilliant acting but even more so, something probably only Dan and Emma could've expressed.
I love the Weasleys. I love the whole family. I love Snape, Lucius and Draco. They are unfreaking real. The acting in this movie of these timeless actors is brilliant and I am in awe every time I see them.
It breaks my heart that this is almost a ten year journey and that we're almost through. It's been a huge part of my life and to know that my family and friends will no longer be getting to go see our Harry Potter is achingly sad. It is our culture, it's larger than we realize and for it to be gone...I don't give a damn about Twilight, I want my Harry Potter. WTF was up with my Dan having facial hair????? I mean seriously!!!
*sighs*
So in short! I have to give a shout out to these magnificent actors. Jason Isaacs! You are truly captivating as Lucius, I adore you and may I just say you are gorgeous with long blonde hair! Tom Felton, you grew up handsome and charming! David Thewlis, you captured by attention from day one, I have always adored Lupin, you amaze me. Ralph Fiennes, come on, your ability to physically act with every move you make is expressive and entrancing. Alan Rickman, it gets no better than you! You are as good as they come, may you never go anywhere but on our screens!
Yeah, that was short alright, lol. And I didn’t even mention everyone I wanted to!
Back to the ships…to all you shippers out there who ship someone the opposite of me, I’m gonna get this off my chest, but please don’t write back on my LJ why Hermione is right for Ron or vise versa, just let me live on my LJ in peace. If you wanna support my views, by all means, reply, haha. Not that other opinions aren’t USUALLY welcome, but I just saw the movie, lemme be happy for a little while, *grins*.
SO, Hermione is of status. Let’s not beat around the bush, she is. Ron, I bloody love the guy, but he has a dearth of social status and class. And in real life, after attraction wears down, lemme be blunt, opposites don’t attract forever. Hermione is gonna go insane every time Ron offends her or can’t live in her world. Harry has a natural ability to understand and love and respect her. He is a naturally classy lad. That is just one reason Harry is better for her and that Ron will in the real world always be the guy she’s friends with, not the guy she could really work with. Screw canon.
They’re both her soulmates, but sometimes it’s who you’re gonna be able to take outside with you and not be suppressed by.
Again, in short, LOVED IT! I loved that it was Hermione who supported Harry at Christmas. I loved the flowers she made for his parents grave, how sweet was that? The way she rested her head on Harry, omg. I loved that she was Harry’s anchor. They were so gorgeous together. This was my movie for them. I am so happy right now! *bounces off the walls*
