It’s very interesting that as the sexual liberation movement declines, religious movements rise up again. Politics and religion are the same energy in their beta form, there’s no transcendence, it’s just somebody on a podium preaching (like veganism or whatever zealous ideology someone is selling that day). But in the ‘60s and ‘70s, there was so much transcendence with sex, drugs, rock and roll, art, God, meditations, spirituality while taking drugs, and this made it alpha.
Our minds were so much more open. Now if you pay attention, people really only have two or three things they talk about in conversation. But then, our minds were wide open. It shall be known as a golden age.
As that age closes and sexual repression returns, religion will rise again. I’m surprised there aren’t a thousand articles on this subject. But I think way too many people are trying to sell their product, their perspective on politics, or simply what they fear.
You have to look at patterns. Things go in patterns. Ebbs and flows. Ocean waves. They go, they come back. They renew.
Personally, I’ll always keep the rock and roll close to my heart. As Bono said at the 25th Anniversary at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, ‘Rock and roll is sexual, spiritual, and political freedom’.
Stay wild, flower children. 🌻🌊🌈☀️✌🏻
