Advertisers, stop inventing new words!

Advertisers and marketers, please stop inventing new words for the exact same stuff. I know you'll swear, "Oh it's different! It's different!" No it's not.

My least new favorite term is "lossless audio compression". Do you know long we've been working with audio formats, ripping, converting, and trying to figure out how to compress without losing quality and we NEVER had to makeup this term? Now, I know, at least 10 people are going to respond, "We've been using this term in this biz since 1952!" LOL. Fine, peachy. Then keep it in the biz. Don't start adding it onto the tag line of every MP3 player. It's an MP3 player. I want it to play songs. It's a Walkman. That's all an MP3 player actually is. Let's keep it simple. I care about things like how it easy it is to transfer songs onto the player, how many songs it can hold, what kind of batteries it takes, if it's also rechargeable, etc. I don't care about its "lossless audio compression" lol. Tell me it sounds great and move on.
