The Gate
Have you ever seen "The Gate"? A meteoric object lands in a suburban backyard leaving a huge hole that goes to who knows where. Two kids, one of whom is a very young Stephen Dorf, use dark spells encrypted in the lyrics of a black metal band to transform this hole into a gateway to hell in the backyard. Their parents are gone for the weekend and the pit spews forth the very spawn of hell, horror after horror that they must contend with through recourse to only their pre-adolescent wiles. First plan is to place a flimsy piece of plywood over the gate. This is how I feel today.
