How's The Game Changes
Here is a list of changes as discussed in the How's The Game and Activity discussions.
APPLICATIONS
The rule has been changed. Players must wait one month after applying for a character before they can apply for another.
RE-APPLYING WITH MEMORIES
As the idea has received favorable votes, players will be allowed to re-apply for characters they have played in the past and keep the memories of their previous stay(s) in Paradisa.
Players can expect this element to be introduced around Christmas, and its introduction will be tied into a plot. The applications will be slightly different than normal applications, and will be accepted in to-be-determined cycles. More information on this process will be provided as the date approaches. :)
SOCK JOURNALS
Sock journals will continue to be allowed on all How's My Driving and How's The Game discussions. They will still need to request membership before posting, and the staff team will continue to moderate their behavior and take action when necessary.
ACTIVITY CHECK
If you reply to a log entry and tag the entry with your character's tag, it will count as 1 post for activity. Any log participant that is tagged into the entry will receive credit for the post as all are taking ownership of that post.
The current tag system will remain the same, with a single tag per character.
As requested, the mod team will no longer keep track of dropped threads or players who are perceived as "squatters." Mods will only verify that players are meeting the minimum activity requirements for the month. If players have an issue with another player's activity, they are encouraged to contact a mod or use the Character Complaint page.
POLL
It was suggested that Paradisa switch to a "Post Your Own Activity" style activity check. If implemented, players would be accountable for providing proof of their monthly activity by replying to an activity check post with links of their entries and/or comments to entries. The staff will then verify that the minimum requirement for activity has been met. Any player that does not reply before the deadline would be swept from the game.
Example: October activity check entry is posted.
- Player replies in a comment, listing all characters they play
- Player provides links to any/all entries made for October
- If entries were not posted, player provides links to all threads that occurred in the month of October
- A member of the staff will verify the links provided to ensure they have met the minimum requirements for activity
- If a player has not replied to the post by the deadline, their characters will be swept from the game
If there is a demand for this style of activity check, it will be implemented for this month as a trial. Once the activity check has been completed, players will be asked for their feedback and whether or not they would like to see it continued.
