They're little bitty metallic things that can be stuck like...under a bed, behind a bedpost, etc. They're meant not to be noticed, and they don't broadcast a signal until they're done passively recording a nightmare. So, at the very least, I can see them going unnoticed for at least one night of nightmares?

Yea, I could see Wash potentially letting his guard down enough for something like that for a night then.

Trust me, Wash's worst nightmares would be bad. :D He went temporarily insane due to an AI losing it and killing itself in his head.
