Allen was walking, trying to get his head sorted and figure things out. He still hadn't found information on Timothy from home, and he felt terrible that he had ruined Abel's happy delusions about the world and now he wanted nothing to do with Paradisa residents.
So when he passes by and sees Dick, he recognizes him immediately. He freezes for a second, thinking of what to do. This consideration leads him to immediately backing up and trying to escape the scene, before Dick could see him and make Allen run the risk of saying the wrong things to another former resident.
Well, it would've gone smoothly had Allen not accidentally backed himself into a Christmas tree, knocking that over and along with himself with a loud crash. "Ah!"
The loud crash and gasps drawn from the gathering crowd pull Dick's attention away from his bag of French (duh) pastries (that he may or may not have been feeding to the birds). It's natural for him by now to rush to the aid of others, but when no one else so much as made a single move to help he put his best foot forward.
"Scuse me, coming through." Followed by a chorus of 'brut américain!', Dick reverted to French, bending over to offer the fallen young man a hand and friendly smile.
"Ah- merci," he stutters out as he takes the hand.
It's certainly Dick, he wouldn't forget the guy. This is all sorts of awkward now. He'll attempt to mutter out an apology in very rough French with a heavy British accent.
"Ne vous inquiétez pas." Dick smiles, accidents happen. "Etes- etes-vous-"
The young man seems okay, but it's only polite to ask, and if Dick can ever get the words out I'm sure he will. There's something, though. A nagging feeling and Dick can't help but feel like he knows the man from somewhere. It's the same feeling he's been having all week. He'd had it with Harmony just yesterday.
He pauses, frowning slightly. He switches back to English. Certain now. "I know you."
Renee was out on her lunch break, what passed for a lunch break when she was too focused on work to actually stop and eat. One hand was wrapped around a stack of folders while the other was busy holding up a paper she was reading. She almost felt like she was a cop again, and if it wasn't for the fact that the belt around her waist held her mask and the glaring fact that she wasn't in Gotham, she'd almost believe it.
But even distracted as she is, there's no way she'd miss seeing a familiar...well the last time she saw him he was in uniform so maybe 'familiar face' doesn't quite fit the bill. Still, the shock of seeing him where she'd never expect freezes her for a minute. But only for a minute. "Are you here for business or pleasure?"
Dick's been speaking French for long that for a moment what's said almost passes him by entirely, especially as he's not expecting it, but there was no mistaking that Gotham accent.
"Detective Montoya!" Although, she's not a detective anymore, at least, not with the PD she isn't. But Dick Grayson; Gotham socialite, heir apparent and Batman Inc forensic science liaison to the Gotham City police could be forgiven for being a little scatter brained. He corrects himself though, once the honest to goodness shock (is this Paris or Paradisa?) has dissipated. He smiles, offering her his hand to shake, "Renee."
She accepts his hand, a small smile forming on her lips. If anything his corrected mistake told her that he knows she's not an officer anymore, which means he's not from the past. Saves her from any awkward explanations. "It's good to see you. What brings you to Paris?" Besides a sentient castle that likes to kidnap people.
"Uh," well, that's the question, isn't it? "it's a long story, one I'm not entirely sure I follow." And that's the honest truth. There's that trade mark charming and yet somehow bashful smile of his.

She has to admit Paris, at every inch and corner is beautiful and intriguing, she has yet to get into the spirit of the holidays. It was hard to accept this was going to end well when from her own experiences with world changes, they had gone awry somewhere down the road.
In fact, Kate's only done some sight seeing. She had gone to see the Sacré-Cœur Basilica already, admired the scenery from there. Shopping had been done without a doubt. She was fortunate to be given a her own expensive place without any other resident.
She doesn't know why she's come to the park today -- maybe she still wants time alone. Except she isn't alone, and she's quite aware. She spots him, doing a double-take as she had once done. It was uncanny, how much he looks like Dick. However, she doesn't feel like carrying a conversation with him today. Instead, "Neil" gets a short and friendly wave.

If she's a redhead, then sorry, she's on his radar. He recognises her instantly as Kate Kane, Batwoman, a person he'd known in Paradisa and, although his memories were trying to tell him otherwise, he had worked with her quite recently as a part of Batman Inc back home. Damian hadn't mentioned her though, and Dick - as preoccupied with being back in Paradisa and the slow, sometimes painful returning of his memories as he'd been - hadn't asked. Perhaps he'd assumed she'd returned home, too, in which case, it was possible that Kate may be in the same predicament as Dick himself.
With a slight crease on his brow, Dick returns her wave. When Kate moves to continue on her way, Dick has to say something, "what, I'm not good enough to talk to anymore?"

She halts almost immediately, canting her head back in his direction. She had shared a drink with him quite a while ago, but she wasn't without manners; it'd be rude otherwise.
She waves again, turning so she can face him properly with a small smile on her face. "Didn't want to interrupt the peace and quiet. If that's what you were going for."

"I suppose this would be considered a lull in comparison." A vacation from the majority of the castle's crazy, but of course Dick and Kate aren't two of the people who might've had their powers, appearance or whole species altered.
