Who: gottaknockhard, itwas_raining, icarustattoo, mc_blackheart
What: Spike tried to warn Julia about what happens in Paradisa during Christmas, and then, in an attempt to actually be useful for once in his life, convinced her that they should get out of the castle to avoid it. Did it work?
When: Backdated to December 7
Where: The Love Shack That random cabin in the woods where all the stuff happens. All the stuff.
Rating: Um. PG-13. idk.

Of all the plans they could've thought of, this wouldn't have been Julia's first choice.

It wasn't really a matter of the quality of the accommodations, or even the quality of the accommodations in this weather. No, a cabin in the middle of the woods with a side wall not fully repaired wasn't exactly ideal (especially not during the first snow of the season), but it wasn't anything she couldn't adapt to. After all, she'd spent three years wandering from place to place, never staying too long, always keeping a low profile. In particular, she'd spent a fair chunk of time on Callisto, the coldest and most desolate of them all. In light of that, this was nothing.

It was more a matter of the history this place held. Of all the reminders that constantly sprang to the forefront of her mind every time she caught a glimpse of that wall, thoughts that had already still haunted her without them. It'd be hard not to if you were the one who put it there. After that one time, she and Spike had never spoken of that day again, and they certainly weren't talking about it now. (It was part of a collection of things they never discussed per unspoken agreement. Things they had been not-discussing like pros while hiding out here.) But not-talking didn't equate to not-thinking, even as much as she wanted it to.

At the same time, though, there was room for tentative optimism. They'd been here for more than three days, and so far, nothing that she'd been warned about had happened. Initially, she'd been skeptical, but maybe he was right after all. Maybe they'd managed to avoid it. After all this time, maybe they'd finally run away together, in a way....

But there was always a catch, wasn't there? It was probably only a matter of time.

[[OOC: I'm starting this in prose because I feel like it, but the actual log can take place in actionspam if you guys prefer :)]]
