He liked Faith. He liked her the last time she was here, and when she showed up here, younger and a bit more volatile, he was surprised, but he rolled with it. She reminded him a lot of Dean, and a bit of himself, and he ...
Honestly, he wasn't sure what he wanted to do. It was nothing that he could ever articulate to her, because he wasn't entirely sure she'd understand it, but there was a part of him that wanted to help her, and that part still did. He just needed to figure out how to fix the damage he'd done when that part of him had gone away for a little while.
She was his first stop that morning, and as he made his way up to w/ Benefits, he knocked on the door frame as he opened it, hoping he wasn't walking in on anything.
"Faith?"

When she heard her name, she slid off the bar and leaned up against the bar. She grinned at him, pushing off the bar and starting to head over toward him.
"Hey, stranger."

"Since when do you ask?" Her hands immediately go to tug at his shirt, clearly her thoughts on what this meeting was about was slightly skewed.

He squirmed slightly, before taking her wrists gently, and pulling back to put some space between them. "Can we talk?"
Reply
"You never were big on talking before, either. Something tells me this is an end to all of our fun."

Awesome.

"It's not that it wasn't ... great. It was. But I don't feel that way about you."

"Feel that way about me?" There was a slight amount of eyerolling that followed that statement that was posed as a question.
"It was great. End period. Statement. I don't feel any way about you, Sam. I don't have some profound bond with you, I'm not going to cry into my pillow about how I've lost you, and I'm really not going to be too concerned with how you do or don't feel. It was sex and when it was happening, it was a good thing - hell, it was a pretty rockin' thing."
She shrugged, moving away from him, "But hey, you need to pump the brakes, or slam on them, then that's your deal."
Reply
"Okay. So ... I should probably go."

She just shrugged him off, walking away from him.
"You know, you change your mind - swing by."

And with that, he'll start getting out of there, even more confused than when he walked in.
