Who: Ravi (bookmansjunior) and Kanda (to_dark) What: Meeting up after Kanda invites himself over. When: After this. Where: Ravi's room 211 Rating: PG-ish?
Ravi was already on his feet when he heard the knock, followed by the sound of the door opening - it had to be Kanda, since he'd told him that the door wasn't locked. And, sure enough, it was none other. Stepping out in front of the door, Ravi grinned at Kanda when he came into view. "Nice of you to drop by for a visit, Yuu," he said in greeting, placing one of his hands on the side of the door to pull it open further before he moved out of the way in case Kanda was planning to come in.
He gave the other boy a curious look, watching him expectantly. The visit seemed pretty spontaneous and Ravi wondered what could have brought it on. He didn't think Kanda tended to drop by people's rooms out of the blue just for the hell of it.
No, not really he was not a social person at all. So his visit here was not just a simple social call, although now that he was here Kanda was not sure of what to say. Or rather if he should say anything at all of what was bothering him. Sure, he'd told Axel but... now-
-he stepped past the redhead into the room, giving it a brief glance before turning around to the other one more time. "Hn."
Yes, as if that one 'word' explained his being here. "I haven't seen you." Kanda clarified after a moment's pause, not sure if it was a good idea or not. He hated having to explain or express himself and having to do that with Ravi bothered him.
Guess he should have appreciated the other's mind reading before this place more.
Not too close, not too close. He didn't want that.
"Well, you can come visit anytime," Ravi replied as he pushed the door shut and turned around, leaning against it for a moment with his arms folded across his chest. He gave Kanda a smile. Somehow he doubted that Kanda was actually going to make visits a frequent thing, though. (Of course, that didn't mean Ravi couldn't go ahead with doing the visiting himself.)
Still, here Kanda was, standing here of his own free will. And he was right - they hadn't seen each other in a while. It looked like the guy was all healed up now, though (maybe Ino or Sakura had taken care of things), so maybe he'd left Axel's room to go back to his own at some point, probably before the whole man-eating plant thing. Then again, it sounded like he was still hanging out there to play nurse for Axel this time round.
Ravi grinned and pointed at something on the wall on the far side of the room. The cards he'd gotten on Valentine's Day were pinned to that wall. "That look familiar, Yuu?"
Kanda tossed Ravi a weary glance at the offer to visit all the time but said nothing else about that topic instead he was distracted by what Ravi was pointing at.
Oh he didn't...
Kanda's face went pale and then a surprised expression crossed his face. More like horrified really but... the glare was back in place when he turned to look at the redhead. "I can't believe you-" he gestured towards the card which was very clearly the one he'd...uh... sent. "-display that." Still, it was not... a bad thing completely. Was it?
Ravi hadn't really counted on Kanda dropping by to actually see the wall anytime soon, but that reaction didn't come as a real surprise or anything like that. That card of Kanda's had been funny, though, both the fact that he'd somehow been persuaded to go to the trouble of sending one at all (although it wasn't exactly your average kind of greeting card) as well as the card's 'friendly' content.
"People sent 'em to me," Ravi said cheerfully, an explanation of sorts. "I gotta keep 'em in a safe place somewhere, yeah?" He straightened up and left his spot by the door, making his way over to his bed to take a seat. "You wanna sit down, Yuu?" He waved at the bed with one hand and a nearby chair with the other. Kanda could take his pick, if he wanted.
It wasn't just that- what if other people saw that?! Kanda cleared his throat and glanced at the wall one more time. Keep them safe? Well... so would he but in a private place where no one else would see them. "Yes, I can see that..."
The swordsman hesitated glancing at the chair and then at the bed. He started for the bed but then changed his mind and took the chair instead. The swordsman was silent again trying to sort out his thoughts. Or lack of words. "It was Lae's idea." he gestured towards the card, and then shrugged. "The threat is my idea." Kanda clarified, not that he'd let Lae take responsability when all he had suggested was to write 'how he felt'.
"Yeah? Thought so." Ravi chuckled. He shrugged his shoulders and leaned back against the foot of the bed, drawing one leg up to rest one of his arms on top of his knee. There was plenty of space left on the bed, so Kanda could have sat there with room still to spare, but if he wanted to sit on the chair instead, that was up to him.
Ravi gave Kanda a grin. "What'd you do with all the stuff you got, Yuu?" he asked curiously, wondering whether Kanda had secretly kept it, in spite of complaining about getting cards and all that on the day, or if he'd thrown everything out or who knows what.
Speaking of Valentine's Day stuff, though, including Atoli's bear and the cards on the wall, Ravi still had a good amount of it sitting around himself - unless you were Red or could eat like Allen could, eating that much chocolate all at once was pretty challenging and probably close to impossible.
Yes, he was not surprised though, Ravi never had problem communicating with people or getting along with them. Or making friends, Kanda arched an eyebrow in the direction of one of the piles and shrugged, "Lae ate it." He'd kept some stuff- which this reminded him- was still up in Axel's room tucked away in a drawer. He had to move that down to his room.
It worked since the other redhead liked chocolate so.
"The chocolate, I mean." Not the cards or other things... which brought him to another point...
Ravi snickered. That wasn't exactly surprising, either. Well, at least all the chocolate Kanda must have gotten from a couple of people didn't have to suffer a sad fate of just sitting around, neglected and unwanted, thanks to Lae's chocolate addiction. "So you still got all the cards?" he asked and smiled at Kanda.
"My date?" Ravi put his hands behind his head, his smile widening at the question. "Well, guess I'm lucky Miwako still wanted to go with me." He wasn't too sure how that funny mix-up had happened in the first place, but it had all worked out fine in the end anyway. "Too bad you and Red missed out on the whole thing."
"Not all over the wall like that." he gestured towards the mural on the wall. God, he hoped no one ever had the curiosity to observe that one card of his more closely than was necessary. This was almost like... blackmail. Uhg. He tossed Ravi a half-glare when his smile widened and Kanda rolled his eyes.
He'd been surprised Ravi had a date, and then annoyed and finally- "This means I won't need to help you get a date then."
"I'm glad I missed it." Of that Kanda was being totally honest, not that being unconcious and in pain had been wonderful but... it all worked out for the best. Or something like that.

Shaking his head the exorcist rolled his eyes.
