It was probably moping, but any excuse to get into the hot springs was a good one. )
He'd taken the time to make sure that his arm was stabilized and that removing armor wouldn't undo Kat's work in setting it properly. Though there were still bruising and marks from what happened with the Meta that were visible as he moved to join York. "Not a bad idea to come here... And good to know you're still alive."

"Hey. Could've been worse." As it is, he did have a black eye and a missing tooth, but at least all his bones were in place. Of course, Tex had walked out on him--and he still wasn't sure she was coming back. But that was neither here nor there.
"I forget if you've been out here before?"
Reply
He shook his head. "No. It's definitely worth visiting though."

He did grin a little, though, as a red leaf floated down picturesquely to land in the water. "First time I came here, I, uh, well. It was when I got turned into a girl on a loss."
Reply
He smirked. "Interesting luck you have with losses."
Reply
And he rolled his eyes. "Tell me about it. But hey! Not every day I can legit sneak into the girls' room."
Reply
He paused. "At least you haven't been nearly eaten by a cat, York."
Reply
"And at least you haven't been chewed on by a T-rex." He pointed to a few faded scars that did, in fact, look like giant tooth puncture wounds.
Reply
The scars got a pause. "True."

He just laughed at the second comment, though, dragging a little water through his hair. "Hey, I meant what I said about no strings attached. Except for the string where Tex gives me a black eye, anyway."
Reply
Washington shrugged at that. "Kat said the same thing about strings. Look at us.

He nodded, though, because somehow that didn't surprise him at all. "How much of it's from you and how much of it's from her, really?"
Reply
Washington sighed, looking away. "I don't know. I don't think it's all me if she's reacting to me saying no and getting drunk like that."
Reply
"Starting with the second, you were both emotionally compromised, okay? I saw it. I was there. But you had an idea of what she went through, and she probably assumed you were fine. Obviously you weren't, but she probably wasn't thinking of that at all."
He sank down into the water a little to try and get rid of the building tension.
"It's perspective."
