Who:Fred, Cordy, Harmony, Elektra, Kaylee and Pinkie Pie What:A night for the girls to relax and unwind When:Thursday Night Where:Caritas Rating:DD for definitely drunk??
Cordelia hasn't had a sleepover since high school. Possibly even before.
But this wasn't a sleepover. Not necessarily. This was a group of women getting together and having tequila in an empty bar. But where there was tequila, there needed to be precautions.
So there were pajamas. There were sleeping bags. There was food so that they didn't make themselves sick. Cordy was probably a boy scout in another life, but right now, she was just looking to have fun -- no holds barred, simple, non-supernatural fun.
Elektra couldn't look more out of place if she tried. Sleepovers weren't exactly her thing. This was mostly because she had never been to one before. She hadn't exactly indulged in drunken nights with the girls either. Again this was mostly because she never had female friends until she came here.
Really if she thought about it this was all a bad idea. She was better suited to be hanging out at the shooting range or spending the evening in her room going over sales or training.... but Fred had asked her to come.
So here she was trying her best to seem natural in this environment. Talking seemed like a very good first step. "The pajamas look very comfortable."
"They are," Cordy said with a grin as she turns to face her, before pulling out a set that was a different color than the ones Cordy and Fred were wearing. Red -- instinct told her that it was Elektra's color, or maybe it was Fred -- but regardless, Elektra had PJs.
She takes them. Red was in fact her color. Elektra almost was flattered Cordelia caught that until it occurred to her she may have to actually wear them.
"Thank you." She frowns. There had to be a polite way out of this but, it wasn't coming to her. "It's going to be just us, right?"
She could only imagine what someone like Oliver would say if she was running around in poodle pajamas. Not that she cared about his or anyone else's opinion. Really.
Harmony walked in from the back, bright pink pajamas on and a big smile. She was vampire-aware at the moment, so she knew that her drinks were mostly going to be too strong for anyone else, but at least it made them something she could enjoy.
The door banged open and small pink blur shot into the empty bar to the sound of hooves, when it finally stopped then the pony became visible. She was already wearing pajamas (with a balloon-pattern print) and had a bunch of balloon strings in her mouth, the helium filled things floating around her head merrily.
"MMNGHHOFGP! DKMGMCCLLL!"
Perhaps she shouldn't speak with the balloons in her mouth? So she turns her head and uses her teeth to (somehow) tie the strings around her tail to free up her mouth. This causes her rump to levitate off the ground slightly, but the maniacally grinning pony doesn't seem to care.
"Good," Elektra says slowly as she glances down at them. She almost leaves to reluctantly put them on before the blur of pink has her attention. For a second she's almost worried about them being attacked by some (oddly pink) thing and then she sees the pony. The talking pony half floating off the ground.
Well. That was something you didn't see every day. "... I think I should go put these on." And get as far away from the pink talking pony as possible. "Excuse me." She's already walking.
Cordelia, on the other hand, just turns to face the pony with wide eyes and smiles.
"Hang on. Let me get those for you."
With that, she'll be moving over to un-balloon Pinkie Pie, and she'll be glad the girl - horse? - girl brought her own pajamas. Cordy didn't think to get them in horse-sized.
Fred hops off the bar then, after promising glance to Kaylee. All the way had to start somewhere, didn't it? And now it looked like they were all there. She walks over to Pinkie Pie, indulging in the smile she always seemed to inspire. She'd sort of forgotten what a shock to the senses she could be.
And Elektra and Pinkie definitely inhabited opposite ends of her spectrum of friends.
"I can't remember who knows one from the other. This is Harmony and Pinkie Pie..."
There were good moods...and then there were really good moods.
Kaylee was in a really good mood. Mal was here in the castle. "Home" might have been the wrong word for it, but short of Serenity it felt right.
As for other things? Well...
It had been a nice couple of days.
She's already smiling when she makes her way into Caritas, eyes lighting up when she sees Fred over by the bar. The other girls weren't ones Kaylee had met, but they were friends of Fred, and that was more than enough for her.
"You weren't plannin' on doin' this half way, were you?" she asked, recognizing the particular bottle sitting on the bar.
Fred keeps her seat on the bar, clearly pleased to see people already arriving. She'd changed into her pjs before, ducking right behind the bar after Cordy arrived. After all, there wasn't anybody there but them.
All but made of a smile, she tilts her head towards each woman in turn.
"That's Cordy. Elektra. And Kaylee..."
The latter gets a bit of a look for her teasing.
"There, now we all know each other. I expect Harmony and Pinkie will be by after a while."
Fred's staring at Kaylee again, as if trying to solve one of her puzzles then and there. They've been spending enough time together to take in the differences.
"Who're you accusing of half way? Are you forgetting who introduced you to tequila in the first place?"
She waved, happy to meet the others, as she slides onto a stool. "I wasn't complainin'. I've been thinkin' a bit of all-the-way drinkin' might be nice, lately."
Fred's smile tilts into something a little bit dangerous. It's been a long few weeks, but Kaylee is one of the few people she really trusts enough to let go with. Actually, everyone here was on that list. It's sort of the point.
"A bit of 'all-the-way' drinking. I like the way you put that. Exactly what's involved?"

As far as she was concerned -- she was due.

To Pinkie Pie, with a smile as warm as any she'd give, she'll nod a hello. "I'm Kaylee."
