Billy hadn't been doing much these days. A lot of staying quiet, a lot of thinking. Waiting. He'd been in a sort of voluntary hibernation ever since he'd been caught, keeping to himself and spending most of his time listening to his journal whenever he had it.
He didn't even really know what exactly he was listening for, but it seemed like the most important thing to do right now. Part of it was probably listening to how people were reacting, trying to eavesdrop on the state of the castle. Trying in vain to judge the ripples. He was just attempting, maybe, to judge exactly what he had gone through all of this for. And, until he found that out... he just didn't know what to say.
