Who: Fred and Wesley
What: An unexpected conversation.
When:Late at night.
Where:Her room.
Rating:PG 13 (Will update depending on subject matter of conversation)

She was tired. More than tired, actually. The kind of bone-deep weariness that settled through every part of a person -- except for her thoughts. Those were still circling her head at a lightning pace. Fast enough that there was no real hope of her sleeping.

Not after Charles' arrival. And certainly not after her conversation with him. Asking him not to tell Angel about Wesley's part in Connor's abduction had been hard enough. But then she had to go and tell him about Illyria. And now? Having lived through both keeping secrets and not? Fred still wasn't certain which was better. Other than the idea that there was no better. Destruction and hurt was still destruction and hurt, no matter how it was measured out. And she didn't know how to begin to alleviate it.

Instead she sat on her bed, papers and notes and designs for her two current projects scattered around her. It wasn't fair to reduce them to distractions. But for now?

They were.
