Owning an "extraordinary" watch could be a help for occasions where she was not sure if showing up early would be appropriate. At the very exact time stated on the invitation she had received, Sakuya entered the courtyard, looking for someone who seemed prepared to go on an excursion.

"Haruno-san, I presume?"

Sakura turned to the other woman, bowing shallowly and smiling. She nodded her head, another affirmation that it was indeed her that this other was seeking.

After a hesitation, shoulders hunching just slightly, she smiled a little brighter. One hand comes up to her throat, and she opens her mouth. No sound comes out!

Maybe starting with that can cut out the reminder (or introduction) of her own ongoing silence.

She blinked, bemused, then slowly put it together in her mind. That would explain why their previous exchange was text-to-speech.

"I understand." She smiled, then gestured at her own throat. "Is there anything I can do for that?"

She shrugged, holding both hands palms up. She didn't honestly know, and she used writing to handle most communication. Speaking of, she twisted around to pull her small notepad out, the handsized one. A short scribbled note would serve as a first communication with words, here in person.

Not generally, not for this. Well, there may be, but I've only found individuals can get around it based on talents of their own. Rin should be down shortly.
