What: Damon attacks Illyria and leaves her bleeding. :)

So. She didn't want anything to do with him. The fact that he'd gotten the news first from Stefan had him hoping it was wrong. Hoping she'd change her tune and -- But, no. He'd saved her life and she wanted nothing more than for him to leave her to it.
He scrubbed a hand over his face as he paced outside of the castle, restless. It was beginning to grate on him in a cabin fever kind of way, being stuck here. He couldn't get away from any of them when they were all cloistered in a castle together.
And then, of course, there was the urge to head back into town. To disregard everything she'd said and make her see that he was good enough. That he deserved more than anger and dismissal after how hard he'd tried to resemble something close to human because of her. Of course it wasn't worth it. It'd never been worth it before. He should have known better, and the fact that he hadn't.
He detoured through the gardens, forcing himself to stop walking down through the town.
