Guy stood in front of her door once again, as he had done many times in the past few weeks. He wanted to break down that door like a First Gen on a wild rampage, run in, throw his arms around her and tell her how much he'd missed her and how sorry he was. However, it wasn't so simple. It might've worked when he was in his usual adult form, but as an eight year old? Probably not.

Butterflies were swirling in his stomach furiously - he was terrified of what her reaction to his child form might be. He recalled how upset she was when he explained to her of his loss, and how scared of him she'd been when he was turned into a wolf. Would this be any different? he wondered. There was something else, too - the main reason he'd been avoiding her: he was afraid that seeing him as a child might remind her of what they'd lost (after all, as an eight year old, he did favor their son quite a bit.) He knew she was heartbroken over the loss of their twins (he was upset as well,) and he certainly didn't want to make her even more sad than she already ( ... )

[The door opens cautiously and Marian's kid!face peers out, looking Guy over (she KNOWS it's you, man) and then her eyes are fixated on the flowers in his hand.]

What...? Are those for me, Guy?

Guy stared at the young girl standing before him in utter shock. His mouth hung open slightly, and he cannot quite figure out why this strange girl seems to know his name... Unless...

He took a deep breath, and that's when he smelled it: roses. The young girl smelled of roses, just like...

Oh boy...

"Ma...Marian?" He said, forcing the words out. "You... too?"

He wasn't quite sure what to say to her. He had thought of a few things in the last few weeks, of course: apologies for his distance (and his current form,) proof of his undying love, promises that somehow, he'd find a way to make things better for them. However, the shock of seeing her as a child caused him to suddenly forget all he'd hoped to tell her.

He thrust the flowers towards her and nodded, before reaching into his pocket and pulling out the necklace. He held it up to her and managed to smile.

"This, too."

"Sure! Me too! Why not!" she says and opens the door, looking cockier than she feels.

Surprised, Marian grabs the flowers handed to her. She likes them! Somewhere in her suger-rushed and more and more child like mind is a grown up voice saying 'vase', but before she has time to dwell on it further and all the things her grown up mind wants to bring up with Guy, she sees a charming necklace with a shiny, blue pendant. She squeals in delight.

"For ME!? That too!?"

Her sugar-sticky hand reaches out and she accepts the gift, along with Guy's smile. Far away are the days when she would reserve herself against Guy's generosity. Now, she has the quick surge of happiness that a child has, a child that accepts joy for what it is. She smiles back, showing her buckteeth and dimples, and manages to hold both necklace and flowers in one hand - sticky and wet now - while her free hand grabs Guy's to pull him in.

"Come in and play with me and Wheely! I have lots of candy!"

Marian's reaction renders him speechless. There's a huge surge of happiness welling up inside of him - he's thrilled she loved his gifts and that she'd accepted them so readily and cheerfully - but at the same time, there's a lot of confusion, too. The castle had turned her into a child as well, and while that obviously made his own kid problem a non-issue, it was still a bit... odd. Guy was fairly certain he'd gotten his own self into this mess, wishing for their twins back and a summer of being carefree and happy, but... did those wishes affect Marian as well? Or had she somehow wished for the exact same thing?

He would've considered this a bit longer had Marian not dragged him into her room and showed him something... wonderful.

Marian's sticky hand holds on to Guy's and she drags him to the fireside where the TREASURE is!

Guy follows her into the bathroom (grabbing up a bowl of ice cream and quickly scarfing it on the way,) watching her smile happily at his gift. He was not used to this, after all. In the past, he had a rather hard time getting Marian to accept his gifts; however, child Marian seemed to be a lot more excited over presents. His heart leapt - it pleased him to see her so pleased.

"Can I help you put it on?" He asks, watching her fumble with the clasp...

Marian looks up surprised at Guy as he walks after her, but she can only smile and nod.

"Oohhh, clever of you to bring the ice-cream! I want chocolate sauce with mine!"

Marian starts to lift her hair, but it sticks to her hands. She sighs dramatically and washes her hands. Then she turns her back to Guy and lifts the tresses properly.

"Yes, please!"

Oh, this is familiar! Only now... Her heart is warm, she is allowed to enjoy this! She is allowed to allow herself to be with Guy, to be happy because of it.

Guy takes the necklace and gently strings it around Marian's neck. He then clumsily works the clasp, trying hard to get the two halves together. On the third attempt, he manages to get it closed, smiling happily as Marian beams at his present.

"There." He says, blushing furiously. "I hope you like it."

Marian giggles - kindly, excitedly - while she sees Guy in the mirror they're standing in front of, working to close the clasp. When he's done, the blue stone glitters just above her stomach. She looks down on it, admiring it - loving it. She looks up again and sees Guy blushing in the mirror. So she turns around and gives him a quick and heartfelt peck on the cheek.

"I love it so much! Thank you, Guy! You are my best friend, ever!"

She skips happily to the door. "Ice-cream?"

Guy goes completely stiff.

She...kissed me. She kissed me? She kissed me! He thinks, his gray eyes growing enormous as his brain finally catches up to the wonderful event that just occurred. How often had he wished and prayed for this very thing to happen years ago - for Marian to readily accept him and be his best friend? And to think all it took was being kidnapped by a magical castle, tormented relentlessly and for both of them to be turned into children...

Maybe this isn't so bad after all... He thinks, as a smile explodes onto his face. Aware that he's still blushing, Guy hangs his head shyly.

"Ice cream with my best friend." He says, nodding. "I'd like that."

Guy's wide eyes are comic and his face nearly spilts into when he smiles. That smile... She had seen it some rare moments, before and after Paradisa. Her heart always lept at the sight, and her heart... There's a pitter patter in her chest, as if Wheely was in there, walking round and round. It makes her jump up and down on the spot.

He loves me! He still loves me! I'm sure he still loves me! Guuuuuylovesmeee, Guyyyloooovesmeeeee...!

Seeing his discomfort, she says nothing but smilingly, she put the ice-cream bowl in his arms again.

"Come on, Guy!"
