Phoebe was taking a walk when she saw the tree. Having lived in Asia for a while she knew exactly what that was. She smiled and moved closer, peeking at a few of the secrets already hanging in the tree as she passed. When she got to the table she took a piece of paper, thinking for a moment before writing three words
Love and Friendship
Setting the pen aside she looped a string through the hole in the paper and went to find a place to hang her wish.
Oh geez, a pretty girl. He tried to ignore her, lest he look like a moron. But he couldn't help but glance at her paper as she passed him by, and he smiled. What a nice wish.
Alright, the least she can do is try to direct the conversation somewhere past the weather and how pretty the tree is. "I'm Phoebe. I don't think I've seen you around, before. But, of course, that doesn't mean much. I've only been here a few months, after all."
With a roll of his shoulders, he tried to look more casual. He didn't want to look like a complete failure. Just half of one, at the very least. "... It's okay. I'm Kasanoda."
Progress! "It's a pleasure to meet you Kasanoda. I haven't seen one of these trees in ages. It's such an amazing idea, and always so beautiful. All this positive energy is just what this place needs right now."
He blushed a bit, not sure she should be saying such things, like this was all his idea or some nonsense like this. He wasn't used to compliments anyway. "Yeah, well, my friend Uru told me this tree was here, and asked the owner if we could do it. So it's really her amazing idea."
She looks up into the branches, "No matter whose idea it was in the first place, it takes everyone's wishes to make it come together. I'd love to meet her so I could thank her. It's things like this that really bring a community closer."
He looked around... Uru had said she couldn't stay long, and that appeared to indeed be the case as there was no sight of her. "I think she's gone... but I'll tell her what you said."
Alright, she's tortured the poor guy enough, "I suppose I should let you go back to whatever it was that you were doing instead of standing here and talking to me all night."
