"Aw come on, aren't you excited?" Jade pops up off the bench, disapproving glare on her face.

Harley skipped toward them and rested her elbow on Akira's shoulder.

INFILTRATION TEAM

After last night's call for an expedition, Krasus sent small pendants to each recruit with a note to carry them at all times. This was how Krasus signaled for everyone to gather on the tenth floor: each pendant flashed red and hummed for a minute to catch the attention of its bearer, and then it went dark again.

If someone failed to show up, that was their problem. Krasus couldn't afford to be there personally, nor could he spare a portion of his own essence for a duplicate. His plan was desperate but he hoped that it would work. Hoped against hope.

Allen arrived about ten minutes after his pendant started flashing. He arrived in the elevator not to look suspicious and when he stepped out, he didn't see anyone right away...

Panick set in, he didn't get the wrong floor did he?!

Alleria arrived moments after Allen, having taken the stairs. The hood of her cloak was up, her lithe body practically radiating a barely suppressed sense of urgency, like a cat seconds away from pouncing.

Muscles coiled and her jaw tight, green eyes flicked toward Allen in a way that was just barely acknowledging his presence, and she moved into the corridor.

Komachi took her time, she wasn't horribly late but there was a sense that she probably could have been around sooner. She floated down the hall and then landed a few yards away to continue walking. She carried her scythe lazily over her shoulder as if she were getting together with a bunch of friends to go out and mess around instead of starting a rather risky mission.
