Nepeta had long since come down from her sopor slime high and was now left with a constant knot in her stomach and a heavy sense of regret on her shoulders.
Looking back, it was mostly embarrassing. The journal had recorded everything she had said, and left it there for her to read and facepaw over. How could she say such stupid things! Everything she had said seemed smart at the time, but it was more than apparent she was just making a grub of herself. And it wasn't just her, either. Karkat and Vriska were acting just as ridiculous!
A lot of things were said and a lot of things happened, but there was one thing that stuck out above the others and was the sole reason for that knot in her tummy. It was the disappointed look her moirail gave her, and she didn't like it one bit.
She was so embarrassed. She wanted to hide under her furbeast skins and never come out! But that was not how moirails worked and she knew it. It was up to her to set things right again and gosh darn it, she was going to do just that.
Standing outside of his door, she brought her hand up and gently knocked on the door.
"Equius, it's me. Can I come in?"
