A Puzzle Missing Pieces [Felix and Ashura]

Apr 15, 2011 00:28

Who: Ashura-ou and Felix Harrowgate
What: Felix comes to retrieve Ashura from the clinic after he makes it back to the castle and Ashura is released from observation
When: Earlier today
Where: The Clinic and then to their bedroom
Warnings: emoness like nothing else?

Ashura lay in the clinic bed, finding it terribly ironic that the flowers he delivered to the clinic to stave off boredom and insanity from staring at white walls were not there for his use. He focused on those colors as much as he could - the bright reds and yellows, meant to invoke energy and the will to get better. They certainly helped, though at times Ashura was not sure he wanted to be awake.

His ribs ached constantly, no doubt an effect of the bone bruising he had received from his fall from the horse he had borrowed from the stables for his ride. On top of that he was subjected to headaches every now and then when he moved his head to sharply, and though he was assured that he would suffer no lasting damage from the fall and the headaches would ease by the end of the week it made them no less annoying. At least when he had been sleeping he could ignore the dull throbbing pains all over his body.

And more than that, when he slept, he could forget the thing that had half driven him to ride alone on a strange animal. He and Felix were... was it fighting? They had not quite yelled at each other with hated words, but there had been tension. It was seen in the way they slept back to back rather than in each other's arms, the way he felt Felix was being distant and snappish and... uninterested. He wanted to understand what was the matter, but Felix blocked him out, and that in turn made Ashura shut down, turn his attitude to that of a leader with a recalcitrant lord rather than a lover with lover. So it was partly his fault, partly Felix's, and now he paid the price for his own swirling emotions in the form of bruised ribs, headaches, and a sprained wrist.

He sighed and laid his head back in the pillow, working through the headache this time around and praying for sleep, though doubting it would come.

felix harrowgate, ashura-ou
