What: Anya's store exists here! Only problem is, someone else is in charge.

Bela was just coming out of the back room when she saw Anya standing in front of her store. To be honest, she wasn't all that thrilled that the other woman was had returned. While she had been her friend the last time she was here, as well as her employer, Bela really had no intention in giving the Magick Box back upon her return. Until then, it had been easier to avoid her and pretend she wasn't here.

So much for that plan.

She took the book in her hand as she made her way to the front counter, before raising an eyebrow. "Can I help you?"

Oh, there's a salesgirl here. Anya walks over and gives her a sunny smile before nodding. "Yes. This is my store. I'll need the key to the cash register and the door and the boring paperwork as well. Who are you?"

Bela gave the woman an incredulous look. The audacity of some people. She straightened, and placed on hand on her hip. "My name is Bela Talbot. This is my store, and I'm not giving you a bloody thing."

Anya looked at her blankly. "It's the Magic Box. That's what my store was called. And it looks like it inside. Admittedly, it's not just mine. But Giles is never around since he moved to England. I'll give you the proper recompense if that's what you're after. And if you'd like a job here, you can have it."

"Actually, this is the Magick Box II. You may have created it when you were here the last time, but you left. And when you did, you left it to me. More to the point, you aren't the same Anya that hired me in the first place, and trusted me to take care of her store. Therefore, it is now mine and I don't owe you anything."

She picked up her book and went back to what she was doing. "Ownership has passed. I suggest you find someone else's store to steal."

Anya stared at her for a moment, mouth dropping open a little. Then she frowned, mouth set in a line and walked closer. "Did you give me money before I left?" Anya asked, putting her hands on the counter.

"I inherited it," Bela replied. "Therefore a monetary exchange wasn't required, but if you'd like compensation, I can do that." She placed the book down on the counter again. "How much would you like for the store?"

"Don't touch me with the money!" Anya said, shrilly. Her loss would kick in and the money would turn into candy, and she didn't want to harm more money like that. "I want the damn store! It's mine!"

"It's not yours."

It was taking everything in Bela not to huff. She knew she needed to keep her cool if she was going to win this. but there was something else that caught her attention as well, and she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

"Why do you not want me to touch you with the money?"

"No reason," Anya snapped. She didn't want to tell this store-stealing bitch about her horrible and embarrassing loss. "And yes it is."

Her eyes narrowed some more, and she knew she'd have to look into it later. But for right now, she was just going to work with what she had. "Do you have the ownership paperwork? Or the deed to the property, or for that matter, anything at all saying this store was yours, other than your say so?"

Anya scowled, crossing her arms. "Excuse me if I forgot to pack proof of ownership when I was kidnapped by a magic castle."

"Actually, you couldn't have. Proof of ownership of your store back home doesn't count. They're not the same." That part was said in her 'talking to five year-olds' tone. "I have the ownership documents, because I inherited them when you left.

Anya did not appreciate the tone, and she answered in kind. "And now I'm back, so the inheritance is undone. I've had friends come back from the dead. They got their possessions back."

"Here, I think you're going to be disappointed," Bela replied stubbornly. "One, you didn't remember that the store existed in the first place. That negates getting it back. Now, I offered you a fair price for it, but if you don't want to take the money, I'm afraid there's not much else I can do for you."
