It surprised him, actually-- the proximity he needed to get to room 1102 before he picked up her presence. It was probably the diffused nature of her mental fingerprint that made her hard to notice at first. The TARDIS felt more like static than the prick of a single presence. Now that he's picked her out from the background noise however, he imagines that she will be easier to spot in the future.
And there will be a future, if he has any say in the matter. His memory of his encounter with this creature was a little strange to recall, an inevitable feeling of nostalgia surrounding it even though it happened little more than a month ago, but he does recall the power and sheer vastness of her mind. It alone was enough to draw him back, with that one room of peace being the icing on the cake.
He needed to return. He needed to know more.
Arriving at the room, he found it unlocked, and took a moment to make a last mental sweep for the Doctor's presence. Getting through him was a headache that he didn't need. Once sure that the coast was clear, he slipped inside, made his way through the overgrown room, and walked right up to the familiar blue box.
An appreciative hand reached out to lay on the door of the TARDIS, a thought shortly following. He was unsure if it could understand or even hear him, but the message is sent regardless--
"Remember me?"
