[It'd taken a few nights to get into top form again. But now after a week or two they're back: Batman and Robin, just like always. Only better.
So when Robin catches sight of the yellow cape, flickering out from the corner on the third-floor level on his side of the street, he doesn't even have to signal before breaking pattern. Batman will pick up on it, he knows. He drops to land silently on the roof above, like a little dark weathervane. Or a marker on a map: Here There Be Robins.
... Carrie looks tired. And cold. At least she's in her winter duds now.]
[ Bruce follows when Tim breaks off without so much as a pause. After all, once he starts moving in the new direction, it's not hard to spot that yellow cape.
(Why did they ever think bright yellow was a good idea?)
It made him a little proud to know that his Robins were getting along. And he did consider Carrie his Robin, despite the differences in universes. Seeing her now, all huddled up on the ledge made him feel a little bad for not working with her the past few weeks, even if he did need the time with Tim.
He lands on the roof behind her and lurks, waiting for either Tim or Carrie to say something. After all, if the three of them are going to work together, they both need to be okay with it. ]
[She doesn't hear them right away -- they are Batman and Robin, after all -- but it's impossible to keep all noise silent. So in a second or two there's a tensing, a quick spring up to press herself to the window behind her ledge and out of sight of the roof above.
Probably it's someone she knows and likes. There aren't many other groups of people that travel the rooftops, after all. But after the deal with Joker, she's not fond of taking chances. So she waits there, tensed and listening.]
[...man, it's actually kind of nice to hear her Gotham's slang coming from someone other than herself. so that one gets a wide grin, and she tosses a glance roof-ward.]
Figure it's possible. Patrolling, right? Need any help?
[Flips down! To land neatly on the ledge beside the Robin in yellow, and look out at the Paradisa night. He takes just a quarter-second to build up, and reaffirm that he's read Batman's intention right.]
What we need's a third partner. [He keeps the tone flippant, but the word choice is totally deliberate.]
[Whoa, hang on. She's freezing for just a second to process all that information. This isn't a solo patrol for him, he's with Batman. Batman's probably here. And that was -- was an invitation?
There's a couple seconds where about all she can manage is to stare at him, looking a little alarmed.]
[And how can she not look up, to hear confirmation from the boss himself? She stares for a full second before she remembers to smile, but it comes out both startled and about as pleased as it's ever been when it finally shows up.
And he called her Robin.]
...Figure all you really had to say was "let's go".

He's asking you to join us for regular patrols.
[ He leans over the edge so Carrie will be able to see him if she looks up. ]
And I think it would be a good idea. All that's left is your answer, Robin.
[ He may or may not be using Robin instead of her real name on purpose to try and sway her into patrolling with the two of them. ]

[Nevermind about the other Red Robin, shhh. Shhhhh. This plan makes perfect sense.]

Let's go, Robins.
[ Until they figure out their own way to differentiate THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE RED he'll just. Refer to them in the plural. ]

Just like old times.

All that sad, a whole week of it, and this is all it takes to get rid of it? ...She can live with that. Over to Red-]
You take Yellow, if someone's gotta have it. I want Green.
