Max was just bringing her bike back in from an impromptu trip to the city when she spotted the Bentley. She was familiar with the car -- she spent a lot of time around the other vehicles and she remembered what was there and what wasn't. She knew the Bentley was supposed to be there -- but she also knew that it really didn't get driven all that often. Especially like that. Especially by a kid who looked, to her X5 eyes, like he couldn't have been more than ten.
Apparently, even when in a parallel dimension, she still had to look out for boys without common sense.
At least this one actually was ten.
She gunned the motor on her bike, moving to try and cut the kid off at the pass, hoping that his legs were at least long enough to slam on the brakes and not hit her with the beast of a car. If he totaled her bike? He was totally building her a new one.
At first, Damian didn't bother going for the brakes. This is the same boy who rammed an ambulance off a bridge with the Batmobile because he had to get somewhere and it was blocking his route. Why should he care?
And then Damian remembered that a certain someone would tan his hide for causing any lasting damage, and ramming people would most certainly result in damage.
He twisted the wheel at the last moment, practically standing on the gas pedal to reach it. The Bentley swerved to the left, clipping the end of Max's bike.
Max's reflexes saved the bike from fishtailing the way he wanted to, but that wasn't going to save Damian from Max's temper. Now she wasn't just trying to minimize property damage, she was pissed. She gunned the motor on the bike and pulled up on the Bentley so that she was looking right in the passenger window to where Damian was sitting.
