Yachiru was calmly laying on her floor drawing pictures when she heard a knocking at the door. She dropped what she was doing immediately and hopped on over to the door.

Jumping up and down she tried to look through the peep hole but sadly a peep hole that's 5 feet high isn't too useful for someone who's 3'7'' and wearing a gigai. She eventually gave up trying to jump up and down.

Yachiru opened the door to Otty and gave him a big smile. Realizing who it was right away Yachiru giggled. "Nyaa! Let's go get some cake Otty!" Yachiru grabbed his sleeve and started to skip towards the stairs. Humming along the way.

Othello hardly even noticed the little tug. He really towered over the small girl. But of course, the tug also had a voice, so he looked down upon her with a casual smirk.

"I haven't got much room to protest, do I?" he replied as they began towards the stairs. Sufficient to say that he didn't join in the skipping endeavour, he did, for now, allow her to hang on to his sleeve. The image was tragic, really. General of Hell's Army taking a little girl out for birthday cake. Surely he wasn't going soft.

"Now, Yachiru, you're sure you know where the kitchen is?" he raised a sly brow. Didn't want to end up in someone's 6th story bedroom instead of in the dining room.

Yachiru stopped before the steps. She did forget where the dining room was but she wasn't about to admit that. So what could she do. "Ah! Why don't you point where we should go Otty?" She turned to him with a smile. That seemed like a good compromise.

"Oh, of course." Othello replied with a snarky grin, pointing further towards the stairs. They had quite a few of those to go. "When there's no more stairs left, then I assume you've been to the kitchen before?" Surely she had. And well, if she hadn't, it should be pretty obvious once it came into view.

Yachiru nodded and ran in the general direction Otty was pointing in. "I went to the kitchen with Chipmunk once~" Yachiru said while running down the steps.

They arrived at the kitchen and Yachiru jumped for joy. "Think they'll have a vanilla cake already made, Otty?" She gave Otty a big grin as she dragged him further into the kitchen.

Othello followed after, keeping up fairly well with his normal long-legged strides alone. And really, he wasn't even going to ask who Chipmunk was supposed to be.

He let himself be tagged along, chuckling at Yachiru's enthusiasm. It was almost enduring. "For such an important birthday? Well, they better." he replied.

Yachiru giggled. "Let's go get my cake then!" She grinned as big as her mouth could handle as she charged through the room searching for her cake.

"I found it! I found it! Come here Otty! Hee hee." Yachiru jumped up and down and pointed to a cake in the corner of the room. It had her name on it and everything. She took her zanpakuto and without wasting anytime cut the cake into pieces. She kept her smile as she handed Otty a piece.

"Do they have cakes in Hell, Otty?" She wondered while munching on a piece. The icing was getting all over her face.

Othello nodded, following her in. Actually, he hadn't really expected the cake to be there, so he raised his brows when it actually was. Amazing.

"Well that was fast." he commented, holding out his hand for his selected piece. Yachiru really did act like a five..er...six year old most of the time, didn't she? "Slow down there, missy." he advised, plucking her up to put her in a seat. They should at least be sitting down now, really.

"Cakes in hell~?" he grinned, taking a bite of the dessert. "Of course. Not many reasons to celebrate, though."

Yachiru was taken aback when Otty picked her up. NO ONE picks Yachiru up. But luckily for Otty Yachiru was too pre occupied with her cake to start a fight. After Otty's comment Yachiru reluctantly nibbled slower.

"Why not? What's hell like? I've never been there! Hee hee." Yachiru said between bites. She was curious and it's not like she'd get to go and visit Hell anytime soon.

Othello wouldn't have been all that set back if Yachiru tried to start a fight anyway. He was one of the three strongest swordsmen in the multiverse. What had he to fear?

At the question, he just shrugged apathetically, picking at his cake. He handed her a napkin. "It's in a constant battle for the throne, I suppose. There's nothing to tell about it." That, or he just wasn't all that interested.

"In fact, it's a bit like earth. There's towns and regions. Boring stuff, really."

Yachiru looked at the napkin dumbfoundedly. After a few moments and a bit more nibbles of cake she accepted the napkin as she placed her piece of cake down and rubbed the napkin on her face. She rubbed her face like any little kid would. Only doing it because they were told to and not really caring if she missed half the mess. Napkins just weren't her thing ( ... )

Othello just shook his head a bit at her reaction to the napkin. He should have known she'd react that way, supposedly being a father and all ♥ But he guessed it really wasn't that big of a deal, so he just let it be.

"Yeah there is. Most people think the old man's going to kick the bucket soon. Then Ororon will take over." Some sort of odd feeling hit him, like he was supposed to know something else about that, but was only getting a big empty space where memory used to be. He shrugged it off. "Hell's like Earth in some ways. Others not so much."

He smiled then, sticking another forkful of cake in his mouth. "Am I supposed to be taking notes on this Soul Society?"

"Waz Ororo?" Yachiru asked with a big thing of cake in her mouth. After grabbing her second piece Yachiru stuffed a bunch into her mouth when Otty wasn't looking.

After a while of chewing and then finally being able to swallow the large chunk of cake. Yachiru smiled at Otty innocently. "Nyaa! Hell doesn't sound as bad as people make it to be! Hee hee." She said while grabbing the remains of the piece of cake.

"Hee hee, no silly! I'm just telling you!" Yachiru giggled at that. It's not like Otty'd ever get to go to Soul Society. You can't just leave hell, right? Yachiru pondered the thought for a moment until calling it silly and forgot about it entirely.

"Ororon is....nevermind." Othello looked at her suspiciously when she suddenly appeared to have an entire mouthful of cake. His mouth opened to comment about it, but he secondthought it. Why bother? Let the kid eat her damn cake on her birthday, it wasn't such a bad thing.

"Well, Hell is considerably worse for a damned human. Even certain demons have a hard time." he smirked. "They're fun to poke at." True he'd probably never venture to this 'Soul Society' she was going on about, but it was a thought anyway.

He looked down at his own cake then, shoveling the last pieces of his slice into his mouth. Hm. It really wasn't that bad.

"Nyaa why won't you tell me~?" Yachiru was curious as ever. This always happened anytime someone didn't tell her things. It made her wanted to hear about it even more.

"Are you a demon, Otty? Your nice for a demon." Yachiru giggled childishly and grabbed a smaller piece of cake and started nibbling on it. Forks and knives were for pansies! But despite all the cake and icing on her face and hands her uniform stayed perfectly clean. As if sometype of barrier was protecting it from the 6 year old's mayhem.

"Want another piece Otty? Hee hee."

"Because I can't really remember." Othello replied. And surprisingly, he didn't sound too distressed about it. Quite frankly, he didn't understand it enough to be upset just yet. It was hard to feel sorry for forgetting your brother when you didn't know you had one anyway.

"I'm not a demon, I'm a devil. There's a..." This time he raised a brow. How was he a devil if he wasn't in the royal family? He wondered. "There's a difference. Quite a difference." He shrugged a bit, smiling down at Yachiru.

"Sure, I'll have another piece. That's of course, if you're not going to eat the whole cake by yourself."
