When someone knocked on the door, Clark looked up from his bathroom sink, toothbrush hanging out of his mouth. Huh. People didn't usually knock on his door at this time of the day.

... or often at all, really.

He kicked into superspeed. Between knocks, he finished brushing and got dressed in his usual reds and blues, just so he'd look somewhat presentable. When he opened the door, he was running a hand through his hair, tousling it into order.

"Oliver," he said, concerned. "What's going on?"

Oliver glanced down to the six clocks he had stacked up in his arms, "The Toy Maker isn't one of the people trapped here is he? I mean, different times you said... I've been finding clocks, everywhere."

He shuffled the one he'd opened up toward Clark, "All of them, counting down to something. None of them have explosives, but I haven't found them all."

"Our Toyman?" Clark shook his head, taking the offered clock. "Not that I'm aware of."

He flipped over the clock and quickly x-rayed it, to see if it had any additional hardware inside. There wasn't anything special that he could see, but he frowned, nonetheless.

"Anything in the journals?"

He looked down the hall.

For a moment he felt sort of odd that he hadn't checked the journals, "No... I guess I'm still not used to them."

Which would be why he went down to Clark's room, instead of filtering something to him. "I saw a pattern, I just thought it'd be quicker just to come to you."

"Makes sense," Clark nodded. His vision slipped off into the ozone as he tuned into his superhearing. Not that it'd help much; there wasn't much to hear from a digital clock. He turned off his superhearing just as fast.

"Let's track down these clocks, then."

Nodding, Oliver moved past Clark, just to set the clocks he'd taken down aside. They were harmless, so he didn't think he had to worry about them destroying Clark's room. Even if they did, it was Clark's room, not his.

"So things like this happen all the time then," Oliver stated as he headed out the door and down the hallway with Clark. It was probably best to keep a low profile, until they found an actual bomb.

"Not all the time," Clark said. "The last bomb threat was about a year ago, here, and the villain of the week informed us to taunt us."

Then again, he was fifteen at the time.

As he lifted an eyebrow at Clark, Oliver shrugged, "Doesn't sound like he was a very good villain of the week."

His steps moved him down the hall, another clock removed from a door this time, "Seriously, who just puts up up so many decoys?"

"He didn't get away with it, but we couldn't find the real bomb in time; not even close. He gave us ten minutes, and that wasn't long enough for most people to get down to the town, let alone search every building."

He was also fifteen at the time.

"I have no idea."

"Ten minutes wasn't long enough for you? How big is the city?"

He's mostly curious, and not actually trying to say too much about Clark not being able to be good enough. Feel free to say, out loud, that whole age thing now, Clark.

"I was fifteen," Clark admitted. "I only had superspeed and x-ray vision, and it wasn't nearly as good as it is today."

Oliver stopped walking for a moment, "You said it was a year ago?"

That doesn't add up in his head at all, and it looks like you get to explain, yet, another thing about the castle to Ollie. "How does that even work?"

"It's possible to go home and come back," he explained. "I've done it three times now -- I've been here as a fifteen year old, as an eighteen year old, as a twenty-one year old, and now I'm twenty-two."
