It was growing gradually colder and colder the further he had travelled. The trail of blood had ended some time ago, instead opting to follow the cold air that lingered through the night sky. He was unphased for the most part, used to this kind of weather. Though for some reason, something about this chill...sent a shiver down his spine. Much unlike the feeling of the cold. This was different, as if he were being warned that he shouldn't be here. Was the planet trying to persuade him to turn away? Was he on the trail of something?

Focused on the road ahead, Cloud came over the hill to spot a lake in the distance. And training his eyes to see further, mako-enhancements to compliment him, he could see what appeared to be fragments of snow and ice along the shoresides... Killing the engine as he let Fenrir coast, 200 KM/H was a grand speed to maintain, and as the engine gave out and he rolled along towards his destination, this wasn't just a mission to bring someone back. It was stealth too, if whom he was looking for tried to run away. Unless he could hear the roar of his motorcycle from far away, then he could have only hoped that the darkness would have covered him well.

The moon, the light of the stars, it illuminated him enough to give him away however. The night was still, and he still didn't know why he was doing this to begin with. He could have saved this for another hero to save the day. Focused on nothing in particular, the blond's gaze wandered, before his world went white all around him. And he could remember, the smiling girl. Prone to blushing and stammering over her words despite herself and her rank. The same one he chose to help look around. She found food because of him, and common ground through the military. She had done enough to provoke a genuine smile out of him rather then courtesy. And even then, her more bold nature shone through as he recovered in the clinic, the psychotic assault of the cyborg Dio rendering him practically useless. The moment that her voice held firm, resolve unwavering even for that split moment as she wished to watch over him...

Cloud knew that he had an ally in her. Even a friend in her, given enough time. Another person worth cherishing amongst many for him. After seeing her in such a familiar shape after the assault that the Major had pushed on her. Despite her pleads to not go, reasoning that whomever he was searching for was a good person, truly. He gave her his word that he wouldn't go to avenge her. A man of his word on most cases...it held true here. He would come to find him, not for life or death. But to seek out this good inside of him. The good that Vermilion believed in. Cloud wanted to know if he could believe in her too, and in turn, believe in who may not have been beyond saving.

For Noel's beliefs... The trip was worth it, as he opened his eyes and the memories faded. It was time to make new ones on the battlefield.

Coming to a stop by the gentle waters of the lake, he set the kickstand as the side compartments of the massive bike opened up, revealing six hefty blades. With a firm resolve, the mako-flaring within his cerulean gaze, the six were set, fusing together sans the one blade he sheathed to his back. Closing up Fenrir, he left its side, eyes scanning out over the waters as he felt the soft snow beneath his feet.

"..." He was here. Somewhere. A chilly breeze flirted the side of his attire, dancing along the winds as the snow glided along the shore as swiftly as the tides of sand.
