There were some things in life that you just had to see to believe. Ghosts running a twenty-four hour kitchen was one of them. Even the very sound of it was enough to raise eyebrows, but Gino had been told by someone who evidently had seen them firsthand. Since surely someone he didn't know well would have no reason to lie to him, that must mean that they were really there!
Gino had never really thought of himself as the kind of person who believed in abstract things like gods, ghosts, and pink flying dragons. He was simply more interested in what he could see, hear, touch, taste. His senses adored being assaulted. But the imaginative side of him often desperately wished to be indulged, secretly, a dim glimmer in the center of his mind that would burst into glory at the very mention of something fantastic.
He found himself bolting from his room and down the many floors, aforementioned glimmer in his mind giving him rise to wild excitement. A party in the kitchen had been arranged! A party! He so rarely got to attend parties! At least, not real ones where you didn't have to dress up and sip things that tasted foul.
