Flying was something that Rachel loved. More than once she had used it as a kind of therapy when her life seemed to be spinning out of control. Nothing could compare to the freedom you felt as a bird.
She could almost see why Tobias would want to remain one. Almost.
Since she was already in her leotard (she was used to wearing it all the time, and old habits died hard) it was only a matter of opening her window before morphing. She pictured the bald eagle in her mind and let the changes come over her.
A few minutes later she fluttered to the windowsill and took off. It was a beautiful day and the thermals were excellent. They lifted her higher and higher as she circled the castle, looking for his window. With the eagle's eyesight it was easy to pick it out.
< Are you ready?> Rachel asked, not wanting to scare him. Eagles were a natural enemy of the red-tailed hawk, and she had scared him more than once by approaching unannounced.
