Meanwhile, Shito didn't feel any form of excitement, just a vague sense of foreboding. He had to take care when asking Akatsuki for his hand. There was only an hour time limit for him to take down Shiba, but it should be enough. It had to be enough.

So he made the filter to the other and was now leaning against a nearby tree waiting for the other zombie - the illegal zombie - to show up.

It didn't take him too long to find the grumpy zombie. As expected though, Shito looked as emotionless as always, but even if it was slightly dissapointing, he didn't allow it to stop him from grinning amusedly as he waved at the boy.

"Yo, Shito-kun, ready to play?" His voice was almost child-like in fascination, the look on his face one of innocence, but anyone who knew him well enough would know how dangerous he could be.

"'ch"

Pushing himself away from the tree, he turned to face the other zombie. There was no way he was letting his guard down like he did the last time. Raising his right hand (he had to admit, it was much more comfortable having his own hand) he summoned his gun and pointed it straight at that innocent look.

"I would not have called you out if I wasn't"

Cerise eyes darkened and something positively dangerous flashed through those red pools as Shiba found the gun pointed at him. It was nothing new, but it was still as exciting as ever. Lips curved in a smirk and he raised his hand mockingly in front of him, energy gathering in the palm of his hand, before a sharp and so well-known blade appeared in his hand.

"Good, I wouldn't want to waste my time."

Deep blue eyes were fixed on nothing at particular. Even though she was excited, she chose to control herself for once. She could still feel that slight difference in herself, but until now she hadn't been able to find out what it was. It was unnerving and annoying...and yet...

For a moment, Cassandra paused in her thoughts, before her lips were curving in that familiar smirk, fangs visible.

Long dark hair whirled around her and she unconsciously touched the hilt of her blade.

She wouldn't let such stupid things worry her. She was here for a fight and she was going to enjoy it. Jirou's blood would paint the ground and she would enjoy it.

On the other hand, Jirou was sitting against a tree contemplating his current situation quietly. Spending the previous night outside was a good choice (as was returning to his room shortly before day) and now...

Now he was ready to face her again. Putting his hat back on, the Old Blood prepared himself for the upcoming battle.

At least this time he wouldn't have to worry about the well-being of others.

"Jirou," Cassa called out when said vampire came into view. He looked as--red as she remembered. She really thought he should change that exaggerated red outfit of his. To put it simply, he stuck out like a sore thumb...and of course there was that hat. That certainly was something that needed to get burned ( ... )

Black eyes narrowed at the snake walked into eye sight.

"Cassa."

They had only known each other for a century, but that was enough experience for Jirou. It was obvious that she was going to end up enjoying this more than he would, that had always been the case. Taking a breath, the Silver Blade pulled out his sword.

"Not in the least." He hated it when she used that tone on him. It always sounded like she was belittling him (again) when she used it.

"But are we here to talk, or to fight?"

His hour was ticking away as the sun set. And both parties had only landed a couple of hits, none enough to incapacitate the other.

To put it in Akatsuki's words; it sucked to be a zombie sometimes. Especially when those times involved wanting something to stay dead.

Reloading his gun, Shito took aim and fired while keeping an eye out for that damn knife Shiba kept using. Last thing he needed was to be hit from behind.

Damn it. He had forgotten how fast Shito could be with that gun. He could feel the bullet grace his left upper-arm. It stung briefly, but he paid little attention to it. Instead, he smirked deep cerise eyes, darker than before. Moving back, he concentrated on his dagger. The sharp blade seemed to fade in and out of existence as it flew toward Shito.

The Butterfly was awake and he wanted blood.

"Shit."

Of course the Butterfly would wake up at a time like this. It was all Shito could do to keep focus and keep firing. All the while, his hour was ticking by.

"!!"

Using his gun to block the knife heading at him was the only choice he had, but that knife had a greater range to move in, his own bullets could only move in a straight line. Whatever the other was doing worked. The Chinese zombie was having a harder time keeping track of where the weapon was coming from.

Still, he wasn't going down without a fight... Or unless Akatsuki showed up.

Shiba grinned or better said the butterfly did. At the moment, only the Butterfly was present and he had not an ounce of mercy in him. His quick mind didn't waste time to come up with different strategies and without any hesitance, he put the first plan in action. The moment he saw Shito block his dagger, he was moving forward, quick, agile, much faster than any normal human...just like that night on the roof.

"You shouldn't curse, Shito-kun," he murmured just when he neared the other boy. His blade though disappeared again, only to appear behind Shito.

Wasting no time, Shiba moved the side, his right leg coming up, intend to hit the other boy in the side. Even if Shito avoided that attack, he would not be able to escape his blade. Blood would be spilled.

Meanwhile in another part of the forest, Jirou had been moving constantly, stopping occasionally to return Cassa's attacks, or blocking them to prevent their location from being completely obvious. At least he had landed a few blows (even if most of them only grazed her, but that was normally the case anyway).

Still, the silver weapons hurt, and he was positive he was going to have to drink from someone in due time.

"...?"

Did he just hear gunshots?

There was no hesitation in her movement as she brought down her blade to connect with Jirou's. She wanted to cause as much damage as possible, if only to see him cry out in pain.

That didn't change the fact though that he had managed to cut her as well. Already she could feel her blood sticking to her skin and small insignificant wounds sting when the wind trailed along them. but these only added to the hunger.

"You're starting to get boring, Jirou," she all but purred. Emerald eyes gleamed in predatory delight as she blocked another attack.

All of the sudden, some strange sounds caught her attention and she paused slightly.

Bullets?

Even if there was the sound of bullets firing (but they weren't near the firing range, why would someone use a gun outside of that place?) the Silver Blade refused to let himself get too distracted. He wasn't going to go down without taking Cassa with him.

Sadly, the two would simply show up again in a couple of weeks. So much for making her leave him alone.

Upon seeing her momentary pause at the gunshots, Jirou closed in to attack again. Even if she blocked it, they were going to get pushed away. If the bullets were silver well...

That would be how their luck ran.

[ooc: it's all good. Collision time or what? ]

She mentally cursed herself when Jirou pressed on due to her momentary distraction. Fortunately she managed to block the attack, but the force was enough to push her back when Jirou pressed on. Her lips pulled back in an annoyed snarl when she realized that they were only getting close to the gunshots.

She didn't want any kind of distractions at the moment, but it seemed that Jirou had other plans.

[ooc: Collisions sounds good to me and yeah I'm alive XD]
